Am currently moving house & when that's over I'll be rejoining slimming world classes for my 9th year(I'm not a great advert but I love the 'diet')

...But when Mr Dizzy spoke to the Secretary this morn it seems that Dopey deaf me & his rather away with the fairies mum missed the part where he said on the 24th of November I'd be seeing him to sign the consent forms to go ahead with the procedure......not having the procedure as hearing and balance have some paperwork they need to do first to allow the procedure to go ahead:o
I wouldnt be able to have the Op and go on holiday anyway as I have to attend hosp for them to dress the graft weekly for 5 weeks as there is a strong chance of infection with this op. MR Dizzy said im not fit to be let out on my own.....and definately not with his mum :rotfl:
Oh and the surgeon isnt going on holiday.....the clerk shouldnt have told us that!? they have double booked appointments and seeing as mine was to sign papers only they thought it best to slot me in later (fair point which I can fully understand - now I KNOW)
so they had fibbed then? Even if you got the wrong end of the stick as to why you were attending the hospital. That makes me so mad, I hate people blaming someone else. anyway at least you know now what's happening whengunsandbanjos wrote: »Next to the quote button at the bottom of people's posts there is a button with 2 coloured text bubbles, a pinky purple one and an orange one. Hope that makes sense!
You are fabulous and my heroine for ever (tho for a long time I thought you were a boy due to your pic)

Oh and while I'm here can anyone help me with lunches for work - I've gotten back into bad habits of a shop bought sarnie, crisps & chocolate buttons which obviously has to stop when I rejoin.
I don't have use of a microwave, but do have a food flask (for savoury rice - barely warm by 1pm) but am stuck for new ideas other than salad for EE/red (obviously sarnies, but don't always want to use my HEb on bread)

Not that keen on cous cous, but I might try it again. Pasta always goes congeled and horrible in the food flask. Mug shots are an idea of course, but they don't really fill me up unless I take loads of fruit & yoghurt with me too.0

Indian takeaway on order, chicken madras, plain boiled rice and chapatti - yum yum0

I never use ready made things for my (microwave version of) stirfry: chopped garlic, spring onion, ginger, other small-chopped vegetables, 2 syns of a teaspoon of sesame oil, then add soy sauce (free), chilli (free), Oyster sauce (0.5 for a tbsp), nam pla (free) and heat through - makes it divine! Throw it over noodles (free if they are dried; I buy Blue Dragon wholewheat noodles for the extra fibre, they are a million times nicer than wholemeal pasta :j
I woldnt mind making it from scratch, howver it's just too expensive to buy all the seperate things for it on a student budget. I can't really justify spend £10 on just sauces, even if it will work out cheaper in the long run. I literally have no basic things in the cupboards, I have viniger, brown and red sauce, mayo, chilli mayo and salad cream. That is totally it :rotfl:
Thanks for the syn value for the blue dragon suace. Does anyone know how many syns are in the co-op chinese stir fry sauce? it's only 80pSlimming WorldWeek 1 B]-7[/B Week 2 B]+1[/B Week 3 B]STS[/B Week 4 COLOR=DarkOrange]STS-3-2[/B Week 7 COLOR=Red]-1+2[/B Week 9 COLOR=Red]-2[/COLOR

hi all, I've been doing SW at home for the past few weeks, now I'm thinking of joining a class but not sure whether I should, I do miss the community and support aspect of it but at the same time I begrudge paying £5 per week and having to pay if I miss a class (work can be quite hectic and I don't always get home before 7pm)
So what do I do I really want this time to be the time i lose the weight i need to
opinions welcomeIf you join as a shift worker, as long as you let your consultant know in advance you can't make a class because of work you won't have to pay. Give the consultant a ring to check that's how the shift worker bit works.
Denise
When I joined my local group I asked the consultant about weeks off and going to a different group, I'm not a shift worker really but work in a College so do need to stay for open evenings/parents evenings sometimes and courses. I was advised to tick the shift workers box that way I can use my 6 A/L for my holidays and as long as I text my consultant if I'm not going if I'm at work I can have the odd week off. Having said that I've missed 2 meetings due to working but have gone to another local group after work so I've not yet missed a week.
I shall be the same if we get bad weather as Im way too scared to walk to my local group if its icy/snowy so I'll go to the 5.30pm class by work those weeks.
Think i'm lucky that I have an evening class in my village and a 5.30pm class 10 mins from work another night. Otherwise I'd not be able to go as I can't drive.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
