Have just made one of my fave recipes from years ago (not SW) and as I'm doing it realised it is FREE on EE!:j

It's a gingered beef casserole. Lean stewing steak (seal in juices) then I add some ground ginger, pinch of chilli powder, S & P, onions, bit of garlic, can of tomatoes, small can red kidney beans, worcester sauce, vinegar, mushrooms. Cook in oven gently for 2 hrs, sprinkle with parsley and I've done some roasties (in Fry Lite) some gorgeous cabbage and carrots.

No fat, no flour, no nasties - that's OK isn't it? I hope so anyway. I do a similar one (Beef in Horseradish) where I stir in 2 or 3 tablespoons of Horseradish Sauce at the end and don't add the parsley. That's only 1 syn per tablespoon which is nothing when the meals for 4 people!

Not a grown up response I know- but I would have whipped up the duvet, peeped under and declared *eeewwww* right back at him -
It must be awful -when you have worked so hard to still feel it isn't right. My hubby has commented before on some people on TV that they are "far to skinny" - although he only usually says anything if I happen to comment that they look good :p .. Im not sure I will ever be "thin/skinny" but it does make me wonder what will his view be then ??
Has he actually asked you gain a little back or anything or is it just throw away comments?

Oh he didn't mean to hurt me with his comment, probably didn't even cross his mind. I'm used to him saying I don't need to lose weight 'he loves me as I am' but I'm inclined to agree with the ribs/skeleton thing as its not a good look. I'm not skeletal standing up theres still plenty of meat on my bones it just disappears when lying down ;). When I asked him why he put sugar in the rice pud he said 'you're not on a diet you're maintaining so it doesn't matter' he has no idea really but I do love him :D.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I know it is strange isn't it, the magazines all show super skinny woman and men 'apparantly' drool over them, but when it comes to real life, it isn't always the same is it.
I know my dh doesn't like skinny women, and I am aiming just to get back to a size 10 really, I am only short so i am still curvy at that size. He has many times before said he doesn't like skinny bods!

I think you need to bring it up again and just say that the comment hurt you as you have worked so hard to get to where you are now...it may have just been a jokey comment, implying that you are thin now and he may have thought you 'wanted' to hear that kind of comment iygwim?

Hugs, hope you get it sorted, but don't forget YOU matter too and if you are happy then hopefully he will be too;)

All I can say is I love him dearly despite his faults :D. I'm happyish with how I look but my biggest regret is not losing the weight when I was younger and my skin had more elasticity. My skin looks so old and saggy. My mum has heart failure and lost 4st rapidly and I look like her [shes 70]. She looks so gaunt and I'm not much better so maybe hubby is right and I have gone too far but no way do I want to put the weight back on just to fill out my skin. I will love myself saggy skin and all :rotfl:

oohh we will let him off then :p - *hmmm if fat disapears when you lie down... I really must spend more time lying down* :rotfl:
My lovely hubby has only ever known me "well upholstered" in varying degrees *then again its a long time since I saw myself any other way too :p* - I know he loves me regardless so im sure he will cope with a thin me :D... Im trying my hardest to exercise n mosturise -but I fear I may still look like a deflated balloon by the time Im done :rotfl:-although I have warned hubby that if it bothers me Im having it lopped off ;)

ooohh I forgot to say yesterday -when we nipped into the supermarket the other day we were going past the alcohol section and someone handed hubby a sample of some alcoholic thing ... he went to pass it to me to taste (not that I drink anyway) and the chap stopped him whilst declaring (as I later translated) that I was under age .. I will be 39 in December :rotfl: I had great delight in telling hubby they must have thought he was my dad :p

Dizzy - green tea/lemon - does it taste very tea like? I have been given 2 teabags of said green tea to try but can't get up the courage to try it as don't like tea. Want hubby to try it 1st :D.

Im quite liking green tea with lemon ;)(only just started drinking it recently) you dont leave the tea bag in for long.... more like just give it a quick stir til it changes colour and I do like to put a half spoon of sweetener in it. Its not very tea like I dont think...(I wouldnt be able to drink normal tea with no milk bleugh) :o

I got some twinings ones first but tried some tetleys green tea with lemon that were a lot cheaper and pretty damn nice too :T

If you are happy in your skin (no pun intended :p) then it doesn't matter how big/small you are or what you look like! Saggy skin or not!!!

If the saggy skin is bothering you tho i can highly recommend Soap and Glory's Firminator gel! Although I am young (23) where i've lost the weight quicker than i gained it, around what i call my "pooch" area of my tummy (lower abs basically) the skin is slightly saggy as is the skin on the tops of my arms and around the boobage area. I put some of this stuff on and it certainly makes the skin look tighter :) I love it! Its good on the ol' stretchmarks too! (yes i do have some!! thats what happens when a young person gains 3 stone overnight! lol)
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..
