Burnt my mouth when eating at pub

Coffee, is the only thing I really need to watch out for, particularly take away coffee in sealed cups which can be ridiculously hot.
I've bought a few cups over the years, which have been so furness hot, it has been drinkable well over an hour later.
Coffee should be made with very hot, but not boiling water.0 -
We blow over the food for our grand-daughter when she eats at our house, so that she does not burn her mouth. But she is 2 years old. If anybody should be sued for compensation probably it's the guardians who did not protect the child from the routine risks of the world.0

have you visited your gp?
I would be concerned about permanent scarring.0 -

Eh? what is a GP going to do with it 2 weeks after the incident? It just needs to heal up on its own! Any burn may leave scars if the skin is damaged enough. The NHS is under enough pressure without people going in for things like this.0 -

I'm sure that this would have been quiet distressing - certainly unexpected - I'm not sure if there is much you could do about this - maybe a letter to the pub, in particular if they admitted that it was heated in the microwave, which would result in superhot liquid. I hope you recovered OK.
You amaze me. The reason people are giving a bit of jip is because they did not have the foresight to think that their food may be hot so are looking for someone to blame for their stupidity.
How can this be unexpected? They ordered HOT food. And they ate it all anyway.

Don't worry about Italiastar, they're just trolling through my posts now because I disagreed with him/her in one of their own threads.
