Burnt my mouth when eating at pub

you know actually, kind of - i have been served food and they've warned me that the plate was very hot when they put it down. now they didn't explicitly say that the food on it was also hot, but i think i managed the link myself!have you ever eaten anywhere where you were warned your food might be hot?
(and to attempt to be vaguely serious to the OP - if it was bad enough for compensation, i'd imagine finishing the meal and paying would damage any attempt to get compensation. if you don't even have any photos in terms of evidence of the 'injury', then i don't really see how you could claim.):happyhear0 -
I think the questions are: Who's fault is it that you put food that was too hot in your mouth? and Who's responsibility is it to ensure the food you put in your mouth is not going to be too hot for you? The Resturant's or yours? If you can answer those, then you have the answers to your original question.0

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: This has got to be a wind up. Even a child knows to blow on food if it's too hot or wait until it cools down a bit.
Edit: Sorry, you were after some constructive advice - grow up and learn to eat properly! Hope that''s constructive enough.
Sorry to go off subject - I cannot believe the rudeness of people like you. The OP just asked for advice, not to be insulted by people like you - I'm sure that they are other, but i can't be bothered to read the rest of this post, but my comment also applies to those posters.
I'm sure that this would have been quiet distressing - certainly unexpected - I'm not sure if there is much you could do about this - maybe a letter to the pub, in particular if they admitted that it was heated in the microwave, which would result in superhot liquid. I hope you recovered OK.0 -
I'm sure it's impossible to eat lasagne without suffering third degree burns. There's always ONE layer it forget to vent and it catches me out even when the rest is stone cold.0

I had exactly the same problem myself in a local restaraunt, and the food looked like it was piping hot. I was slightly embarrassed as I didn't have my dentures in so I called the waitress over and asked if she would help out with a blow job.
She slapped me around the face, the bouncers threw me out and I never did get to finish the meal.0 -
