I'm off to the post office now, so maybe something will sell while I'm out. It's silly though isn't it, I don't know why I suddenly expect to start selling just because I signed up for pro merchant...it just feels different.

soolin wrote:Just noticed that Amazon are offering pro merchant at half price for a few months again, I think (but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will correct me) that for the months it is half price you only need to sell 15 books per month to make it worth while.
I have been selling 15 books a month for about 2 out of 3 months so am getting itchy fingers to sign up.:j
Great spot. The offer is on for people who join before 5th Feb, so I think I'll leave it a few weeks. My sales have really dried up so I'd have to make a concerted effort to get my money back - even on the 15 sales a month target. I'll have a think about it!0 -
Been charged £14.38 for subscription
guess it wasnt including tax,

I think I will go for it too- - how long will the half price last - is it one month or two? I have been thinking about going pro for a few months but have never quite hit the 30 mark - always under (24, 27 etc)0

You are right AT it was sooooo easy, in fact i wondered if I had done it wrong !!
I checked my sales record and in the last 30 days ive sold 31 books, i just hope it doesnt all dry up now,
At least I wont be sobbing in the PO any more when my 1p book cost £1.39 to post as the woman ALWAYS puts my books through as packet regardless of size !!
Combine the savings with the extra cheap jiffy bags ive just ordered and im might actually do well this month !!
Thankyou thankyou thankyou soo !

Congratulations Mishka and Soo
Don't forget to log out and then back in to make sure that the Amazon system doesn't continue to charge you the 86p fee. It was a glitch that they may have fixed - but worth doing just in case.

Thanks - do you mean the 5th Feb though for sign up?
Can I ask another question please?
I am looking to increase my stocks of book (currently have about 390 listed) - but there doesnt appear to be any car boots in the area at the moment and I find the charity shops are too expensive. I have tried auctions (successsfully a couple of times). So....... where do you get your books at this time of year.
I had thought of placing a advert in local shop but DH not sure whether this would work - says I may end up rubbish books.
ANy suggestions?0 -

Yes I did. I've edited my post now.
I haven't tried advertising for books but would also suspect that you'd end up with a load of hardback Catherine Cooksons and the like.0 -
If you become a Pro-Merchant seller can you get the buyer waiting list?0
