    Really upset with Amazon now!!

Just had my first 3/5 which has had an immediate impact on my feedback, it was from a buyer who returned the item after almost two months!

She said she did'nt realise she had received the wrong item until now!!

I asked to return item, refunded her full payment plus sent a cheque for her return postage.

I was just wondering if it will be better for amazon to have a feedback system like Ebay which affected the buyer as well as seller?

Sorry to hear that Sara it does sound unfair. Could you do a reply on your feedback page which puts your side of what happened? Might help a bit, I know it wouldn't change the figures in the feedback. I think [though other more experienced Amazoners will correct me if I'm wrong] that you can email her and explain how your feedback has been affected by what was an honest mistake rectified in full and ask her to withdraw the feedback. Might be worth a try?
    Good luck with it

Well although I've had 27 sales since 1st Nov i'm still way down on my 2 week period - I thought NOV was a good month???? this could turn out to be my worst since joining and I've had my monthly fees taken so I'm well down:confused:

I'm sorry for you annie - wonder why it has slowed for you? I thought november was the busiest month too, maybe it will pick up near the end of the month as it will be right near christmas. Good luck! I'm routin' for you. :j I know you said you were busy this month, but is there any chance you can buy some new stock? That might help?

My challenge is going well, I have sold 16 items in 3 days - which is pretty amazing actually, but I am sure it is because I listed about 20 DVDs and CDs the other night. I also went to charity shops today and bought about 15 books, which I shall list later. If my sales carry on this way I will def meet the challenge and then some, that would be great. Good luck to everyone else, seems like most people are doing well so far.

I agree with Teapots advice, it is definitely worth asking if the buyer would consider removing the feedback. I have had mixed success with this myself, some buyers have been apologetic not realising the impact of their feedback, others have not even replied.

I also think it is worth putting a polite/very nice 'sorry for your disappointment' type response, so that 'seasoned' Amazon purchasers can view your feedback - see that you are a small but fair seller and can still feel confident to buy things from you.

Many Thanks for the advice Teapot2 and FunkyFunkyMonkey, I did e-mail the buyer but received no response although prior to that she was replying almost instantly!!

Initially she wanted entire refund sent via cheque and not through Amazon and when I refused this she agreed a refund via Amazon and refund of return postage via cheque.

I think the buyer waited until I refunded both payments before leaving feedback, I don't think amazon will do anything about this.
This is why I feel that there should be a fair feedback system.

*** Congrats Tee pee on your first sale!!!

Well done - you'll have got the bug now no doubt :j
  • Hi all

I've sold 19 items since 1 Nov and made a profit of about £61 (have had to guess some postage as 3 books waiting to go) :j :j I'm thrilled to bits.

I will have to get listing some more books :) These are my own stuff - self help / health etc titles - and still another 20 or so to be listed :o:o (didn't realise I owned so many! I ought to be perfect by now...;) ) I shall start looking round charity shops for stock ready for when I run out :D

I'll join the challenge and see if I can sell 80 :)
