Any suggestions without obviously raising my current inconspicuous self?
Blimey , you're making a meal of this
just take them to pharmacy or a checkout (just say it isn't clearly marrked, then walk away and come back later if its a good un) if not then leave em there.
now go .be brave or tell me where I can get them
thanks0 -
had refunds today on meat & ds game ( in 2 different stores).
Refused refund on champs & choc scan £20 box said £18. CS said they had same happen last week because box didnt state anything apart from £18 on the box he wouldnt refund.sel stated barcode etc. Left feeling a little dejected but other r&rs made up for it.
Only asked for name & address once. All cs were really nice ( to my face anyway)0 -
When I went to CS to tell them about my overcharge she went off to check as they do. When she came back she asked me for my Clubcard, I told her I don't have one so she said well I need to take your name and address then because we have to fill in a form.
Is this a new thing so that they can spot serial R&R's?[/QUOTE]
I always scribble my scruffiest scrawl which no-one could read - I use a mixture of addresses (never my own) change the postcode etc.;)
Alternatively you could memorise the address of your local Consumer Direct (Trading Standard) Office and put that down as your address!!!!:p0 -

If I go to the pharmacy or checkout and check a price first, and then go and try to make a claim, am I not in the wrong then. Having obviously checked a price, to be incorrect surely I have little arguement if I claim ignorance and someone says I saw you check it.
I am sure I am not the only one who is a little nervous before doing my first r&r, and it does not show you in a good light to take the p*** out of me just because you have more experience.I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -

Go for it Dude...
...check to see if there is a Price Checker though - less conspicous than asking an employee!
Good luck,

I never got asked for my name and address which I was a bit surprised about.
As regards fixing the scanners, are you sure they are turned on? Its just someone else on here posted that theirs wasnt working but they found the switch and turned it on!
Have to say the scanners have been put there by Mr T soley for R&R benefit! cant see why else people would want to use them, so its their own fault that we are getting freebies off them!0 -

Hi All,
I've been reading about this for the last few days and it sounds too good to be true. Do CS really just give you your mmoney back and allow you to work out with the item??
If I try this out am I best picking a low value item first before going for gold with the mobile phones!
Also cash or card ? If using cash I can keep my details to myself.
Thanks

Better in my opinion to go for the phones now if you can.
getting a few free choccies worth a couple of quid is fine, but the feeling of walking out today with £100 of phone for free was amazing!!
It really is hard to believe it is true but having tried for first time today I can confirm it really is that simple.
If you get your confidence buying small things, they are more likely to spot you as someone playing the system.
Most people here say cash, but I have a wallet of cards so could always use a different one everytime, they will never know I am the same person. Just DONT use your clubcard.0 -
Yes t bone thats exactly what happens. I started off with small items coz that was all I could find.
It's good to start small if u are nervous as the success helps build your confidence for the biggies.
If I hadn't have done a fivers worth of steak in September there was no way I wouldv'e had the guts do do the X box last month or the phone yesterday!0
