oh well, looks like i'm gonna be rubbish at this. found 4 psp games that had a £19.97 sticker and the SEL was £19.94. heart was racing, couldn't finish the shopping. rushed to checkout and completely forgot to check what price they went through at (no scanner in store). got receipt and it was the right price. :( had to go grovelling for a refund ....'cos I changed my mind', lol.

2 suits round the sony tv in store though with clipboards and printouts so if there was a misprice there, theyre onto it now.

Just got back from Tesco and all I could find was a chicken with pork, sage &onion stuffing. I hate pork but bought it cos I wasn't coming away empty pursed!
SEL is £1.99 PP is £2.19
When I went to CS to tell them about my overcharge she went off to check as they do. When she came back she asked me for my Clubcard, I told her I don't have one so she said well I need to take your name and address then because we have to fill in a form.
Is this a new thing so that they can spot serial R&R's?

It's just part of the intimidation process, but they can't legally demand your name and address for an R+R.

With stickered items they usually scan at SEL price so what you would be looking for are games stickered £19.94 with an SEL of £19.97 so that they scan at £19.97 therefore overcharged 3p. Goodluck.

Did she have a form, I was asked to write mine on a scruffy piece of ripped paper - surely if this is now policy we should have a proper form to write on.

    Fair prices
We understand that customers want low prices, but they also want fair prices. That is why we charge the same prices up and down the country. We sell our products on the basis of a national price list available for all to see on our website. Even in the few locations that are unable to support more than one supermarket, where we are ‘the only supermarket in a town’, we continue to operate on the basis of our national price list.

If you read the next section down it states
    Prices in smaller stores

Our prices are a little higher in some of our town centre and neighbourhood stores because costs are higher there. Stores in town centres are typically smaller and have higher overhead costs (mainly rents and rates) per square foot of selling space than those outside the centre. Higher overhead costs are spread over a smaller volume of sales, and can only be recouped by charging prices that are, on average, higher (prices are 2-3% higher in our Express stores and in a few of our Metro stores than in our larger stores on the edge or outside town centres). We believe it would be unfair to use our big stores to subsidise the prices in our smaller stores, so we don’t do it. This way everyone gets a fair deal.

Because I regularly contact several other people on here by PM, not that I have to justify myself to someone who I have never met but seems to have taken a dislike to me.

    Try this,

"Ok but first I need to take some details from you may I have your name address age and date of birth please" "I will also need your passport number and a copy of your medical certificate" "I hope you understand only whenever I provide my details my husband/wife insists I obtain this information for our records." If they comment along the lines of your being unreasonable simply point out "Well you started it!" You could of course ask them what they intend to do with the information and how it will be stored, what the intended use for the information is and how long will it be stored for and ask for assurances that your information will be protected from unauthorised viewing and or use, ask them to substantiate any guarantee they offer and demonstrate the security with which it will be stored.

Or simply refuse stating they have no right to the information.
Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.

Together we can make a difference.
  • How do you get your local store to fix the self scanners, there are two in my local and neither of them work.

Any suggestions without obviously raising my current inconspicuous self?
    I had a plan..........its here somewhere.
