6 bars of Cadburys choc - £2.20 offer, the discount didn't kick in on 2 of te bars ( bought Bubbly, Biscuit and Crunchie) CS got very confused, I did tell her I was owed 50p but it was a bit of a problem for her, so she checked the SELS and gave me £6.75... refunded 5 and not 6...but that's fine as it was only for 2 in the first place
noticed stuffed chickens, out of date sel on Bluetooth headphones but they scan at the sel
lots of books mispriced by 1p, the ones I bought scanned at the higher price so BEWARE0 -

Question:
How many different items can you safely get away with R&R ing in each store in the same transaction before Customer Service catch on and could they refuse a R&R if they suspected you were doing it deliberately?
Thanks
To be honest its whatever you feel comfortable with, I can quite happily r&r 2 chickens and 2 joints of beef at the same time, or a book and a game together - with electricals or phones I only usually r&r 1 at a time. Spread yourself around a few stores. I tend to go mad for a bit r&ring all in sight (only what I can use) and then leave it for a couple of months unless anything juicy comes along.0 -

Newbie alert
I ventured out last Saturday and on my first haul got 2 Whole Organic Chickens total R&R £15.34 no trouble at all, but this was part of my main shop. I know it's a tiny amount compared to a lot on here but I was thrilled.
Question:

For example, If I'm lucky enough to find mispriced chocs, meat and a DVD all in the same shop should I buy them at the same time or would you make separate visits for each item. Wouldn’t it look suspicious to get a R&R on the chocs, next pull out the meat, oh and finally you've overcharged me on this DVD too. But if bought separately, that’s three visits to the Customer Service desk and they're going to be onto me surely.
Thanks
Managed to get e900 samsung monday night, nice feeling!!!!0 -

wlfc1 wrote:As far as I am aware it is only SELS with the previous mobile promotion that people are getting R&R's?, the current promotion requires a purchase of £40 of no mobile products. To get an r&r on these require the Checkout Operator to not put through the discount (unlikely) The only thing I think that might be a possibility is that somebody finds a Tesco mobile that doesn't prompt the checkout Operator to put through a discount.
Who's going to be the 1st one to find that phone?.
Mine was either a misapplied operator discount or one that didn't go through! It was a tesco mobile SLVR L7 (black).
Mr T capitulated(sp?) today when I called for the fourth time.
Told them I was going to return the phone and switch network as well as grocery shop.0 -
just been down to my local....tesco that is not the pub!!........ and they're selling chocolate thats dated Aug 06 on the reduced shelf.
Are they allowed to do this? cos i thought it was an offence to sell out of date stuff?0 -
Can anyone remember what page the link for the scanners in stores is? I`ve looked back as far as page 67 and I still cant find it.
I`m going to tesco in half an hour and I wanna go to a store which has a scanner.I`m not R+R`ng,I`m going with my dad and his is a right t*tend and I`d be unable to R+R whilst he was there but I dont wanna get overcharged for anything.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -
They are allowed to sell stuff past its 'best before', but not past a 'use by' and they have to make clear that the reduction is because the goods are out of date.
So if they point out the date and its a 'best before' they're okay.
Makes you wonder what their stock rotation people are doing, though, doesn't it?0 -
