hi guyz i need ur advice here..
i just saw the benq siemens fone in my local tesco juz now
    and they were mispriced...
like others have mentioned in the other thread, it is charged at 99.99 while SEL is 89.99

i didnt get it cuz i wasnt sure if i really wanted it and if its worth the hassle
and now im finking of going back after dinner and purchase it and hopefully get a RNR

anyone has advice for me? its an expired SEL, do they have any grounds to not give me a refund? i have done rnr before, but max was 8 pounds and not sure if im up for doing this or not...

and dun wana get a ban from my local tesco.
ur advice will be very much appericated.

got a dinner to think it through ><

Go for it. I wouldn't worry about being banned - this actually rarely happens.

Go for it, I was told I was going to be getting the difference on my phone today because there were 2 SELs up and the cheaper one was out of date. I just said I only looked at the price.

I think most CS desks shut at 10. Could be wrong, though.

There are no head office instructions to "refund the difference" as there are no store instructions to the same end.

You just reminded me of a question I've been meaning to ask for some time, Spa.

Why does the computer on the CS desk even have an option for refunding the difference? When they process an R+R correctly they select "Overcharge" on the menu, then scan the items to be overcharged, and the till calculates the full amount of the items to be repaid.

So presumably an function also exists on the menu to let them only refund the difference, as many stores often use this function instead of R+R. Why does this option exist in the first place if refunding the difference is definitely not part of Tesco's policy?
  • Noticed an out of date sel on a laptop tonight in durham extra.
    anyone tried these?

was showing 599.99 expires 28/10/06 cannot remember the make though was a little one!

I dont have the balls to try!

My OH had an interesting phonecall to head office today regarding the overcharge on the meat at the weekend, (refused due to a bulk buy policy of 1 item)

Apparently the guy at head office said "Tescos bulk buy policy is 10 items, the store should know that"

    Strange eh?

On a seperate note, they also said the CS member SHOULD have been wearing a name badge and definately should have given us her name/signed the receipt seeing as she wasnt wearing said name badge!
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
