Walking back to CS desk she blamed 'foreigners' who work nights stacking shelves and can't speak english! and that it was happening all the time and then gave me my money back!!!!

I had an identical mutter from a young CS dude awhile ago - he blamed "all the Polish workers."

I remarked that they were good enough for us during Market Garden in WW2 - he just looked at His Dudeness with a glazed expression...

My other half said the sign with the R&R bit has vanished from our local CS desk when he went in today. He has took camera phone pics of the checkout ones for me to prove the POS was there.

In my opinion this IS an R&R.

    I agree.

From the holy Tesco training manual - "overcharging is defined.....more than is indicated on the SEL, POS or product".

Any leaflet, poster or banner that is displaying "£20 off all mobile" is a Point Of Sale.

Just trying to explain it from the Grabbers point of view Spa2k ;)

One of my locals ones (the ones whose nearby residents are going to get leafletted with an explanation of R&R :D ) usually have something covering the bottom of the sign. Sometimes it's a few boxes piled up, the other day it was a trolley full of boxes. Pathetic, really.
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

I wonder what charities and campaign groups for elderly and partially sighted (e.g. Age Concern) will make of the fact that Tesco think it's the customer's responsibility to check the tiny little date on every SEL before buying the item?

Ironic really, as I seem to recall Tesco had the Age Concern logo plastered all over their carrier bags as Charity Of The Year a couple of years back... I think I've still got one in the garage. Their new stance on customers having to read the SEL date is hardly OAP-friendly.

I commend you most highly for fighting on behalf of the elderly and those less able than yourself.**

**Of course, i firmly believe that it is nothing to do with your current ongoing grudge.

Dude, your holy training manual - whatever version it may be - is out of date!!

I am not denying your posted definition of an overcharge however, and you should have noted that I have also not queried anyones claim that they have been overcharged when the discount has not been applied!!

my thoughts exactly a few threads back. their miniscule end dates are hard to read even for the fair sighted been trying to find info on the disabilty act becasue they are prejudicing them?
to be honest its them that really do end up paying over the odds on misprices and overcharging

my oh is fed up of me looking in the store locater booklet to see the store locations

he has come up with the idea of doing a bus trip to as many tesco stores as possible in the day - full of us tesco r&rs.

Wonder what would happen when we all started queuing up at the cs desk? :):)
