  • I had the same attitude when i got mine refunded. When the comment "it's only 1p" was made i replied "every little helps....isn't that what you advertise?" ;)

    :rotfl: :T :T

I'm going to use that on from now on
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

Hubby went into our local tesco's yesterday & got some stewing steak & casserole meat. The CS called the manager & when he first came over he was so polite 'Hello sir how can i help you'.
Once he realised why he had been called he was rather rude.
He made hubby take him to the meat section & explain what he was on about cos he didn't understand
He then asked if he'd noticed any other meat with the wrong price :rotfl:
After that he said nothing to him at all, waited for him to be refunded & just stood there staring at him.
£36 is hardly going to break the bank & the managers attitde wasn't very nice.
Write to Sir Terry and explain the bad attitude of the manager. I did & got a £15 moneycard as an apology.

Scanners are getting rarer these days

  • Hi All,

I have today received a letter from Mr.T, it reads:

    Dear XX XXXXX,

We would like to advise you that our overcharge policy is in place for 2 purposes. Firstly it alerts us to any potential problems and secondly it provides redress to genuine customers who have been involved in a one off pricing error. It is our understanding that you have availed yourself of this policy on more than one occasion.

We, therefore, request that before you commence shopping in any of our stores that you make yourself known to ammeber of our management team, who will then advise you whether they are willing to permit you to shop within their store. The duty managers's decision will be final in all cases.

Should you fail to introduce yourself and subsequently present any item for return under the terms of our refund policy, our price itegrity policy or our bulk buying policy all refunds will be declined.

Also all clubcard points that are obtained for purchases that are subsequntly returned will be removed from your clubcard account.

You would be advised to take this letter with you to the store and present it to the Duty Manager on arrival.

    Yours sincerely.

    XXXXXX

This is all getting a bit heavy!! I've never hidden my identity as I knew I was doing nothing wrong. It is their policy. They are insinuating that I am not a genuine customer. I have spent tens of thousands of pounds in their stores over the years and still am/was. Is this slander? Anyone got any suggestions?

LOL! Is it April 1st?? Pay by cash in future and do them for even more R&R would be my advice. And NEVER give your correct details if asked for them...

Edit: I'm afraid no matter what Constantine believes, this letter PROVES that Tesco are VERY interested in R&R. I think the policy is beginning to bite them in the 'arris.
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!
  • Thanks classics. I might just try another store and keep to the simple stuff! LoL
