Very interesting and amusing in parts.
Having lurked for so long decided to sign up.
Of course we can and do trace customers who present a clubcard to us when abusing company policy. You're thanking the wrong person, do thank Clasics though :kisses3: after all, it was he who gave us the thumbs up to monitor those less than genuine customers who flocked to said TV and proceeded to do a LOT of checking. Thanks, we now have a lot of footage.
Very little helps0 -

These Tesco threads still continue to veer off into arguments or sniping at each other and the continuation of the threads is already under discussion and consideration by the Forum team. It is not helping the case for their continuation when they become unpleasant and/or argumentative so please stick to the topic and keep the thread useful and pleasant. Thanks.
Can I ask (to put this beyond doubt)...Can we discuss the ethics of RandRing on this thread......Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Haven't yet managed to get it together enough to be taking a list of prices down to Mr T's and comparing SELs. I'm assuming that this is what needs to be done??? And I still haven't figured out: are the mispriced items shop specific or do they apply to the whole national Tesco computer database?
Hey Dude - welcome to the world of R&R.....I'll be nice to you.
I would advise - test the water first - make a few notes of mis-prices - check for for inconsistent price per kgs - or DVDs with stickers that are different from the SEL.
Use a price scanner if you can to check the price.
Then go for it!
If it all goes wrong either walk away from the till or get a refund later.
I'm quite happy to post up my guide to the main mis-prices if you want it - but I don't want to bore the veterans......

inevitably discussing that leads to the arguments as one person's opinion differs from another. The thread here on Grabbit is for the discussion of the policy itself and the various misprices.
Discussion of the ethics of the situation should be on the Discussion Time board where there is a suitable thread already as I understand, or you could start a new thread if you have a particular issue you'd like to discuss.0 -

Pointing out you have been illegally overcharged again ! cannot be abusing company policy.
As it is so easy to R&R, why is it not easy for Tesco's to get its prices right.
It is hardly rocket science !
A I stated earlier today I can't remember ever being undercharged, so I would suggest that the overcharging is quite deliberate on Tesco's part.
They have obviously done the sums and worked out they make more money overcharging unsuspecting customers than they do paying out on R&Rs.
How else can you reasonably explain it0 -
Hey_Dude wrote:Welcome Dude
I suspect you were in fact overcharged.
You need to look at the pricing backwards - but you'll get used to it.
Shelf - £1.88 per kg.
Pack - £1.99 per kg.
Now I suspect your meat actually cost £1.86 or thereabouts - this is not important though.
You have been overcharged due to the weight difference - i.e. per kg!!
Forget the actual price you paid.
When I started this game it took me a couple of weeks to get my head round this, because of my long history of recreational drug use and bowling.
Now - it's second nature.
Once you understand and have the confidence that you are right - you can stand your ground and come out on top every time.
The Dude Abides.
What would be your argument on this as surely they could come back with "you have been charged less than pack price so it must have gone through at the lower price as indicated on the shelf"They've got cars big as bars
They've got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you

I asked them to check the CCTV footage as someone had obviously moved it manager told me that they had no CCTV cameras on games and dvds!!! and if they did it can be watched at the time its happening but not recorded
Dude,
The highlighted statement you make is correct!
You need not be confused any longer,

Welcome to the thread, can I ask whether you are in management in a store, or a HO representitive, in CS, or one of the many Tesco Employee type trolls that often visit us for a week or two, then climb back under their stones.
I really hope you arent one of the latter, as its great to have "balanced" comments that we get from our resident managers and known employees.
Can you explain what information you can glean from our club cards please.Couponing....."every little hurts"

So it is not an official thread ? or is it ?
Who is the Moderator for the 'Ethics Thread' as clearly you are not ?0 -
