Just to ensure understanding....every consumer....is this regardless of the fact that they have a clubcard?
What If a consumer has more than one home address, will it identify this? What if i have two homes and shop differently for each home? Will i have two profiles? Come on, give us the gossip!Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Taxiphil, yes you have your little axe to grind, yes you have a grudge....give the insults a rest, it does not make you look good, not all staff at store level are sewer rats - the vitriol is getting boring now.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Let's try something else - a nice juicy steak.
This huge steak weighs 10 kg
Price on the shelf (SEL) is '£9 per kg'.
Price on the pack is '£10 per kg' - so the actual price on the pack is £100 (i.e. 10 kg of weight multiplied by £10 - being the price per kg).
Now the SEL has a lower price - according to the SEL you should have paid £90 - 10 kg of weight multiplied by £9 - being the price per kg on the shelf.
So you have been charged more than the price shown on the shelf - i.e. the 'per kg' price!
Please, please let me know if you get this??????

yes I get this...ta very muchly
What I don't get is how the original poster with the chicken got charged 2p less than pack price? so for example if he'd got steak...and got charged £100 pound for the steak that would be an r+r cos he got charged £10 kg instead of the SEL price of £9 kg, but according to him (if we carry on with the steak thing) he got charged £99.98 how would you explain to CS that you've been overcharged?
Sorry if I'm missing something
i know with the steak thing he should have been charged £90 = 9kg but some of the prices per kg aren't as easy to work out, i think what my question is,why didnt the original posters chicken go through the till at the pack price? They've got cars big as bars
They've got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you

Every customer who has joined the scheme has their own file. Which lists all of the above, everything you buy and return, when, at which store and how often.
Thanks for the in depth answer, I only asked your position, so as to be able to determine which type of question you were capable of answering.
Please dont take DD's comment as "my meaning"....I was simply letting you know of the appearance of fortnightly trolls, and their contributions to the thread.Couponing....."every little hurts"

Oh, and you took all that word-for-word from an article in the Guardian which appears here: http://politics.guardian.co.uk/foi/story/0,9061,1573989,00.html
Very observant Taxi-Phil, indeed I did for I simply cannot be @rsed to go into detail minutely when I can do a search and get a clearer description from the hosting site that manages the hosting database (outsourced).
Pay £10 to HQ for a view of your own personal details under the DPA Act of which Tesco hold. I don't recall mentioning anything about this either. You clearly have been upset somewhere along the line.
Yes, Spa - frightening isn't it. Not sure about those who have multiple homes. Theres probably a feed into the DB from the electoral role register though don't quote me.
Credit checks - No, not possible. Your clubcard is not a credit/debit card. Its for marketing purposes only. You're thanking the wrong person, do thank Clasics though :kisses3: after all, it was he who gave us the thumbs up to monitor those less than genuine customers who flocked to said TV and proceeded to do a LOT of checking. Thanks, we now have a lot of footage.

Monster_Deals wrote:I would argue that is not your cash, it is Tesco's bribe/compensation not to raise the matter with Trading standards.
Tesco's still has your original cash and you have their goods that they sold you.
So you can then return the goods for a refund of your original payment under their 28 day policy.
Noticed last night that CS have Store Locator Booklets that allow R&Rers to better plan R&R Expeditions to remote areas ;-)
Going on one this evening - a champagne and chocolate quest, possibly an MP3 or Dab Radio or two (perhaps even 5 or 6, well Xmas is coming) as well to put the cherry on the cake.0 -

I think the chicken poster (shout if I'm wrong) was getting confused.
They saw something like:
Chicken £1.99 kg (Pack)
Chicken £1.88 kg (SEL)
Chicken price on pack £1.86.
So I think they have got confused with the actual price they paid (£1.86) and have perceived this as being less than the SEL per kg price (£1.88)....
Is it time for a beer yet?
