    Time out chaps, time out.

Leadhead, whilst you are probably correct in your view that the posts should more than likely be in the ethics area and not the discussion area, perhaps you could review the way that you relay the information.

Unfortunately people like TescoEmployee have conditioned us all to quickly dismiss relatively uninformed newcomers to the thread as Trolls and quickly act in order to not get the thread shut down.

Monster, this is a discussion thread but the ethics and legality discussion has been done to death on here and it was generally felt by Redfox that the debate was not moving forward and we were asked to move on from the topic hence the creation of the ethics thread.

rozeepozee, welcome to the thread, a couple of your posts have caused no end of consternation!! Dont let it put you off though, we're a good bunch really if a little fiesty.

Posters arguing amonst themselves (especially those supposedly on the same side) is only going to see the closure of the thread and a potential loss of what it turning out to be a goldmine for you all - tis good entertainment for constantine and I tho!!!! :)

Redfox, please ignore this little altercation, pretend that you have some dark glasses on and can not see it, it is now over before it has really begun!

forgot to say, weird happening today with a lady at CS in front of me, she'd bought a bag of walnuts, cracked one open to find a handwritten note inside saying that she was the lucky winner of a prize and to go to her nearest Tesco to claim it....scruffy bit of paper and handwritten so a fake note...

    Why would somebody do that?

Was the bag sealed when she bought it?

Seems rather strange, some sick people out there!

Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D

where do you stand eg where stationery on the box says £1.96 and the pack price + sel is £1.97

    and they charge £1.97

I presume you are referring the the multi-coloured multi-packs of A4 dividers - I have been getting R&R on these since the beginning of september !! - I've had DOZENS of packs - and yes I may be greedy, but they are all or will be all used within the family - eldest daughter at uni, other 2 at school.
I have pointed out that Tesco must be loosing a load on the R&R of these compared to the 1p markup they are making - why don't they just lower the price they charge.....but obviously the Tesco moles are not reporting back to the right people higher up in Tescos who could make this adjustment....
But, I did notice somone post that the filo-fax overcharge has been sorted....they now charge the price displayed on the cardboard box - but they were £12.xx and charged £14.xx so probably THAT is why Tesco have noticed - I've had a few of these as well ;)

If your query was "Can you claim R&R on this ?"
    YES YES AND YES.
If any item has a price sticker or sel or poster etc which shows a price which is less than what you have been charged - even if the higher price was ALSO on display, you can claim an R&R. :D

Yes, I think anyone who has been R&Ring for any length of time has had this happen to them - has anybody ever asked to see the cctv footage as "someone is obviously tampering with your sels !"

I wonder what our resident Tesco managers would say/do if a customer did ask to see the footage - are customers allowed access, and how easy/quick is it to retrieve footage ?
Of course I assume that such underhand tactics wouldn't be needed in your stores, as you would rarely have wrong sels up......but what if a customer DID ask to see it ?

I asked to see the CCTV footage as the price for a Xbox game magically disappered  I asked them to check the CCTV footage as someone had obviously moved it manager told me that they had no CCTV cameras on games and dvds!!! and if they did it can be watched at the time its happening but not recorded

But it is rubbish.....Read spa2k's post above...

We've been threatened with the thread being locked for having discussions on "the policy or ethics of RandRing".........thats the reason the ethics thread came about.

Edit.......I realise everyone has the right to express their opinion, but I dont want to see this thread closed....Maybe those arguing do!!........All i am trying to do, is to direct it to the place where the mods of this thread were happy for it to be discussed.

It does p*ss me off when people who havent either commented or contributed to this in the past, or havent seen the threats from the mods continually push the subject in the wrong thread............and thats my final word.....as I dont want to contibute anymore....in this thread.

Is this your first ever post on here......who PMed you to make this comment.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I am all for healthy discussion - but surely the non-new readers are aware that THIS thread is to discuss misprices -
    cs attitude and action,
    what the manager said,
    what HO said.
What R&R's you have had/missed out on.......
the longer story of your triumph than you would post on the....
Mis-priced only thread - which should be just that,
mis-prices you have got an R&R,
or think would be worth an R&R,
or ones which are now definitely NOT an R&R as the gliche has been fixed etc.

I assumed ( correct me if I am wrong) that the ethics thread was to discuss
    should we/shouldn't we R&R.
Who is the greatest sinner us or Tesco,
Should you get a refund on items you have already R&Rd
    Is it legal
    Is it moral/immoral
Is having £10,000 worth of R&R a month asking for trouble, so don't complain if you are banned... etc etc

Also, I thought these were the guidelines laid down ON us readers by the mods such as Redfox, and not by individuals - so if someone has suggested the topic you have raised should really NOT be on THIS thread but go to the ethics, it is THEIR interpretation of rules put on us......they don't want THIS thread closed down AGAIN
Anyone EXCEPT newbies will KNOW how often this and the mis-price thread has been closed (sometimes for hostile/agressive nature of the posts ) so it is in EVERYBODIES best intersts to try and stick to the rules.

As to whether you believe the topic SHOULD be on this thread or elsewhere - contact a mod and ask. I don't think most people object to discussion, or even opposing views/opinions to their own......it is just that such debates DO get heated and this thread does keep getting closed

Now I have gone and done it......talking off topic:rolleyes:

    SORRY ALL - esp REDFOX:A
