That's !!!!!! DASTARDLY (or SIR / MR !!!!!! DASTARDLY).
Dirk, what self-respecting wacky racer is going to be called Dirk. I might send Mutley round to give you a sound telling off. And also get one or a dozen of those enticing phones that you have on special offer.Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

Constantine wrote:Yes.
From the sounds of it, the store believed (rightly or wrongly) that the price labels had been tampered with. For that reason, they have refused the refund and have retained them.
It is something that happens fairly regulary, unfortunatly. Some people consider retailers fair game, whether it be shoplifting or swapping prices.
It goes without saying - I am not accusing anyone on this site of any wrong doing. Simply trying to explain from the stores perspective.
UUUUUUUUUuuuuuuummmmmmMMMMMMMM.
You know it's wrongly so why put the rightly bit in ?Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

Sugarhunny1 wrote:Morning people,
Was in shopping last night at my local store and was 'overcharged' on some chocs and champagne x 4. On going to CS desk and mentioning this the chap checked with management and told me i could only refund 2 and they would match the price on the other two. I said no wasnt happy with that and asked for the manager. Manager repeated that and mentioned the bulk buying policy, wasnt quick enough (or sharp enough) to think i had already bought them making that argument void. So got refund on two and matched the other two and phoned CS services 2 minutes ago and she took my details (AARRGGHHHH, didnt want to give her them, will be on file now i imagine) and will 'investigate' and phone me back this morning.
Any tips folk?

Hi again....I answered this last night for you when you posted it on the misprice only forum, you must have missed it............and if you also read back a bit on this thread(just the last 2 pages)...there is a big discussion about "bulk buying".....
Heres yesterdays answer.
Well done Sugarhunny1 on your RandRs
They cant sell you them, then decide there's a bulk policy.....they have to RandR you on all 4. They've allowed you to buy 4, so the policy applies to all 4.Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

bluetimone97 wrote:If the sel said 10.37 kg and the yellow special sticker on the pack said 10.87kg, the actual part of the pack that has the price on said what per kilo? (As this is the bit that is important on the pack)
I can easily clear up this debate, there are 2 product reduced from £12.87, both meat product (one english/ one irish), one is reduced to 10.37 the other to 10.87. However, sometime MR T has F***ed up and put a SEL on both for 10.37 rather than 10.87 and 10.37 respectively, I know I have seen it, and acquired some tasty goods on the back of it.
Therefore MR T should have got there act together and sorted it, instead of coming up with loads a ridiculous excuses.
It does not take an enquiry it simply takes a moment to think, of the scenario and check what's been messed up. DM managers need to stop and think for a moment instead of talking rubbish.Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

weaver wrote:I was rejected in store and again by HO CS - they said the price was originally 129.99 then 89.00 they reduced again to 74.97 so it was included in the deal, - and they did not have to by law show a price label saying discounted or introductery offer - it is in the phone catalogue in Tescos at 99.99.
I gave up in the end and took it back for a refund to another store as I hadnt opened it - but then again Ive never had any luck with the phone misprices,
you win some you loose some - I decided not to push the issue not worth it, Ive got one from boots in the end and they give me £70 free advantage points for taking it out so I still win
I understand there are regualtions covering sale items/discounts, where period of higher price, location of store which higher price charge and the higher price is displayed, to the CUSTOMER, not in some unknown place in the land of make-believe. That's why in SALE details the lower price store date details are displayed to customer. Thus avoiding make believe 'SALES'.Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

I got R&R Daredevil DVD a few weeks ago Stickered £3.93, charged £6.96
Now it's in a '3 for £18 or £7.97 each' sale
How this company gets away with fake sales like this make me so angry.
It also helps remove any guilt I may have from R&R0 -
I am now classed as "regular" in one of my local stores!! lol! Managed to get r&r for 2 nintento games (GBA and DS) CS went to copy receipt and brought the CS lady I had been to on 3 previous occasions with him. She uttered "regular" in his ear and then asked for name and address. To which I replied - "yes I am regular thanks" and walked away with my 50pound r&r!0
