Have sent an email to customer services and CC'd it to Sir Terry regarding yesterday's fiasco. How long do replies normally take?I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Mr T is most undoubtedly the most aggressive in terms of price marketing. However, most of the prices are up and down continually, in order to achieve the headline £XXX off, or 25% off, or whatever. The reason for the continual level of mess-ups in comparison to other outlets is this continual offer offer offer mentality, when in fact if you look closely, the price that the offer is on has been that price or less several times in the recent past.
In other word the prices are up and down more times than una donna della strada's drawers !!!Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

The fact is that as others dont offer the same policy people are nowhere near as aggressive about finding misprices in other retail establishments and therefore can throw random accusations regarding others being better or worse yet have no proof whatsoever to offer.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Well I am beep beep raging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have just returned from Tesco Cumbernauld where I had the misfortune to tangle with an obnoxious, rude, aggressive, over bearing, self opinionated, nasty little man!!
They have a huge display of these £1 items all along one row with big yellow signs on the shelf saying buy 1 get 1 free. So I picked up 2 of the Clean Fresh 10 packs of cleaning cloths and 2 of the Kitchen Fresh cloths, went to checkout, paid for shop, then checked receipt. BOGOF did not come off on either set of cloths. Toddled off to CS and said think I have been over charged. Frosty woman asked to see cloths and said that ones discontinued! I replied its in the BOGOF section, doesn't matter its discontinued she said but sent some wee woman off to check the other. She came back and said this one is not on offer either. So I said I will just show you where these were as I was sure they were part of the offer. Long story short she couldn't figure out whether they were or weren't and fetched the aforementioned man.
He took cloths and said this one is discontinued and pointed out to a teeny wee label further along. So I said there is no sign to say that a "discontinued item" is not part of the offer. He pointed to another sign which said all £1 items were BOGOF and that this one was 97p. on pack. I said well they are still in among items which were clearly marked BOGOF some with other wee labels which said BOGOF on items which were 50p and that it was very misleading having them in an area where a customer might think they were part of an offer. He then made a right prat of himself by saying others were on BOGOF but he got mixed up himself as to which cloths were which and got all confused. He said that the other cloths were part of the offer because they were marked on SEL as £1 so I pointed out that the package was marked 99p so why was that on the £1 offer at 99p and the other at 97p isn't . Doesn't that just confirm the inconsistency and how confusing it all is. I said look even you as a manager of the store are getting them mixed up and you are supposed to know what is what, how am I supposed to know whether something on a shelf clearly marked with BOGOF is not part of the offer because another wee sticker near it said discontinued. I said if they are not part of the offer they should not be right in the middle of the shelf, they should be in a separate area so the confusion does not occur
Well he was not amused and said well I don't know why you are complaining you are getting these ones for free and walked off.
I went down to CS and got my money back for I think the ones marked at 97p on pack but charged £1 or it could be the other way round!!!! Got £2 back and no refund on other two. The other wee original CS lady said that it was disgraceful behaviour from a manager. The lady giving me the refund said I should fill out a complaint card which I did, I have since phoned head office and made a complaint.
I must admit I was getting rather annoyed but I was calm and did not raise my voice, he just would not accept that you would really need to be psychic to work out what was on offer and what wasn't and the signs were misleading but he was having none of it. Will await response from store and head office with interest. Sorry this is such a confusing and rambling tale. Comments welcomed!!!!!The victims we know so well

spa2k you have access to your pricing database, go and check some of the products (like meat/poultry) you will find one week it's £7 the 2 weeks later its £5, the next £7 and so on in a continual cycle, of up and down. It's no wonder there are mess-ups galore, as new and old stock, come in, and the price changes back and forth every couple of weeks.
Sure it makes for headline offers, but you can't complain, if it's continually messed-up by this marketing tactic, as this tactic does not go hand-in hand with long term pricing integrity.Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.
