I bet ASDA ain't forking out thousands a week in misprices, what more evidence is required. I know they only give the £2, but the approach they have does result in less errors. For example, variable weight products are as priced per item, they don't get the headline £2 off per kilo on a big label like MR T's but they don't get the error caused by a items not matching the Kg price. Go and see for yourself, that eliminates, a large error precentage straight away.

Like it or not other supermarkets do overcharge and it does happen as often as it does in Tesco. The only reason its not bought to anyones attention is you dont get stuff for free at the others.

Is it worth the trawling round Tesco finding misprices and have an argument to get it for free? Hell yeah!

Is it worth trawling round Asda for £2? Not nearly as much

Is it worth trawling round Sainsbury/Morrisons for the difference. Definitely not.

    Asda
    Asda again

    Morrisons
    Morrisons again

    Sainsbury's

It does happen, just not reported as often, if at all.

    .

You have failed to see the point, shown in my example, if you read this you will see that ASDA don't have the same level of problems in weighted items because they use the pack price, or at least did when I last visited them. This eliminates the SEL being wrong, old stock, mistakes straight away. By logical deduction, given that a considerable number of R&R's are due to this, ASDA must have less than Mr T's. Purely by just taking that simple matter of policy/procedure into account. These SEL/old stock mistakes are pretty much all the meat R&R's, would you agree ?
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D

From my own experience, I don't agree that other supermarkets are as bad as Tesco. On Monday I spent £97 in Morrisons, and a BOGOF didn't work on £4.80 worth of goods. CS apologised and refunded me £2.40. Not very good at sums, but I think this is a 2.5% overcharge on the total cost of my shopping basket.

Yesterday, spent £3.58 in Tesco, overcharged £1 on one item, therefore £1.51 refunded. This was a 39% overcharge. Or, to put it another way, I bought two things, one was wrongly charged for - a 50% error rate. Not good.

Surely a dream move for the Asda manager, or do you know something we don't about your managers capabilities (or lack of them) ? :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Nicely taken out of context!!

is Tesco a dream move for an Asda manager....i have no idea, i know nothing of the payscales at asda nor of the working environment and therefore am not qualified to comment.

I went into a Tesco earlier & i noticed behind the CS desk that they had a notice saying that they won't allow you to 'bulk buy' 10 items!

Does this mean that if i wanted to buy 15 bottles of water i wouldn't be allowed? Never noticed that before in any other stores.

I have bought 10 bottles of diet pepsi and 10 bottles of pepsi max before, ideal for school lunches at 43p each and they called someone over to authorise it. I found it quite amusing
