I bought the SLVR L7 - only a white SEL showing , with no indication of if 10% was off or not. Got R&R in one store but not another - so kept anyway and intend to take up with HO CS. Did anyone have similar rejection and were they successful with HO CS and if so, what line did you take with them??? Hope this makes sense!

BTW, the 'refusal' store let me keep the white SEL!

I was rejected in store and again by HO CS - they said the price was originally 129.99 then 89.00 they reduced again to 74.97 so it was included in the deal, - and they did not have to by law show a price label saying discounted or introductery offer - it is in the phone catalogue in Tescos at 99.99.

I gave up in the end and took it back for a refund to another store as I hadnt opened it - but then again Ive never had any luck with the phone misprices,

you win some you loose some - I decided not to push the issue not worth it, Ive got one from boots in the end and they give me £70 free advantage points for taking it out so I still win
Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T
  • Barren spell finally ended, not caught a fish for 10 days.
Have had a personal policy of not R&Ring anything less than £20 to avoid using up lives at CS.

Hooked into and landed £34.96 of Smirnoff Ice on an out of date SEL - 2 for £7

Took 4 visits to Tesco ponds yesterday, struck lucky at the fourth.

Small fish (girls pink watches, tat gifts and assorted stationary) spotted at most Tesco's - boxes have lower prices displayed than the SEL's.

I'm quite annoyed now by the fact I was lied to by Kevin Kelly when I spoke to him regarding the R&R on my PSP, I (foolishly) used my clubcard and when he asked me to email/fax my receipt I said "but I used my clubcard cant you see by that?"

He said no, they cant get details off a clubcard about purchases made!

Didnt occur to me at the time that its how they tailor the offer vouchers that come with the CC vouchers.

I cant believe the crap they come out with sometimes!

Tesco know exactly what you buy if you use your clubcard.

I recently shopped on-line at tesco.com (to get the 750 free clubcard points) and when I clicked on favourites, it immediately brought up a list of items that both my wife and I had recently purchased at different Tesco Stores.

This convinced me that they can check the details of every purchase that you make when you use your clubcard.
IF THIS POST HAS BEEN HELPFUL - PLEASE CLICK ON THANKS :j
  • Just got what I thought was my first R&R on Cadbury Collection Biscuits £3.99 BOGOF which never came off my final bill. Went to CS (Warrington) who said the offer had expired and said but as a good will gesture they will give me one free! So I ended up just getting what it said on the shelf lable! Wasn't very happy but she wasn't the most pleasant of people but may be still avalable in other stores.

    @ chachiluz & ukchrisss:
I have found the same problem myself with staff removing the SEL's before you get an R&R

Anyone have a photo of the Champagne & Choc's? As I've been to 3 stores without being able to find the promo

I won't go there again, I got her name and the store managers, but who should I complain to, as I feel I was treated as a liar and a criminal!

P.S. I still have the receipt with overcharge written on it

    Disgraceful.

A word of advice when relying on stickers, make suer never tampered with, and also if dvd sticker don't leave the store.
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D
  • The pringles 2 4 2.30 on the sour cream and onion, discount DID come off for me today..But i think they are fixing the error in individual stores so may well be ongoing in other stores

Hi, this depends on the type of store you visited. Each of the few different types of Tesco stores in the Tesco portfolio are served by a different server, thus different prices and not as you think on a store by store basis. They may be able to remove SEL's etc but they cannot change the central servers supplying them with the feeds/batch files.

For instance, if you got an R&R at an Extra store the other day on the Pringles and then visited an Express store today in hope of an R&R on the same product, you will more than likely be unsuccessfull.

Hope that helps you a bit.

    (Every little helps)...

  • Popped my R&R cherry last night thanks to the Finest Aberdeen Angus burgers, full R&R no quibbles.

I do however now have a DAB radio in the boot of my car to return today - couldn't find a scanner anywhere then realised i was running late and had to go.

Off hunting tonight again though, hoping to score big soon

DVD stickers; another tip to try and avoid this sort of scenario. I did this with the recent Minority Report/I Robot misprice. There were 2 on the shelf, both stickered £9.97. I knew they would both scan at £22.99 but resisted the temptation to buy both, instead I placed the remaining one behind another DVD on the shelf and got the R&R at CS. Said nothing about the other one unless I had to (i.e. in the event of it being 'suggested' that I had placed the sticker on the DVD myself, then I would have simply taken the CS bod over to the DVD s and shown him the remaining DVD with the £9.97 sticker on, behind the security case!). Just my way of doing things (he didn't say a word so could have taken both, oh well)...
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!
