To be fair, there are easier ways of progressing and earning so called brownie points than posting on an anonymous forum, that is of course if brownie points are you thing.
No didnt sign it Plushchris, I'm sure if anyone over there looks at this thread its perfectly clear who I am, I've no reason to hide.
I wasnt having a dig btw, I do value both you and constantines posts (as I'm sure most of us do) and you're input here is always welcome. I was just saying that this (and any other forum for that matter) is only as anonymous as you want it to be.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
I usually read any posts by Constantine or Spa2k first, as I
think they give a lot of useful information.I AM WHAT I AM0 -

The becks vier was on a yellow SEL for £6.99 in my stores so cant take the credit for spotting that. I actually quite like the Becks and had bought it for £6.99 so I knew about the offer probably before I even started R&Ring (glad I know about it now though!)

the things is, just as we like to get one free from Mr T, their employees who read this most likely would like to get one up on us by fixing any SELS....it's a game, some we win, some we don't and they win...it's going to carry on happening as long as this policy exists.....if I get an R&R then the first thing I do when I get back is to put it on here

When pricing errors are discovered I take it quite personally, its my job to try to ensure that they dont happen and when they do I have failed. Its not about getting one up on the customers or anyone seeking r&r, its about getting the job right - and thats not brown nosing, a**e licking or anything slightly related, its having pride in doing the job that i am paid for.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
I don't exist, it is merely your imagination.

Its a fact of life that when a store has so many products with so many labels then some are going to be wrong - its just that the fewer that are wrong the better.

But you wouldn't be human if you didn't get a slight thrill out of seeing someone walking out of Mr Ts with 32 bottles of J2O and a grimace, no?I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -
apart from one CS, all the ones I have dealt with have been fine, the problem one said I could only have 1 of the 3 chickens that were overpriced...

Went to a Tesco I have never been to before. Sirloin had yellow SEL £10.37 kg, packs had been repriced with yellow reduced stickers, some marked up at £10.37 and some at £10.87, bought 2 packs stickered at £10.87, no further reduction came off at the till. Went to CS desk, 2 very polite ladies, 1 went to check and came back confirming that yes the items were marked incorrectly. They tried to work out the difference until I pointed out the price promise sign behind them. Again they were polite, wrote "overcharge" on my receipt and called the duty manager to authorise the refund.
Lady comes to the desk, CS confirm it is mispriced, but that there are others on shelf correctly priced so the SEL has been left. She requests that 1 of them goes to fetch it to check it's same product, so the CS lady goes off to get it. In the meantime Duty Manager is looking at my steak and says "how long ago did you buy it?" , I replied "now" (a little confused!). She says "these labels look like they have been tampered with", I replied that I had picked them up off the shelf as they were.
CS lady comes back with SEL, duty manager agrees its same product, and do I mind waiting for 10 minutes while she goes to have the meat weighed and repriced in the butchery. I said "your sign says that if the customer is overcharged blah blah blah", she says "yes but we need to know the real value for the store"?????
I agreed to wait, she returns 10 minutes later stating that she had spoken to the manager and the price stickers had been tampered with (at this point there are now 4 of them at the desk and customers waiting), I was really embarrassed and stated that I picked them up that way. She went on to say that there was a 2nd sticker on top of the 1st reduction sticker that had been removed, and she said it may not have been me but another customer!
I said I picked them up that way and have been overcharged. She said they would refund me in full and she had brought another 2 for me to repurchase at the correct price. I said that's not what your sign says, she then embarrassed me further by saying she did not believe they were from that store (by thid point I was dying of embarrassment!). I showed her the time on the receipt 12.35 she checked her watch it was 12.50, I said where else could I have gone in that space of time and find 2 identically priced packs of steak. She didn't answer but said I could have a refund and repurchase, she wouldn't give me the originals back "as they were needed for a store investigation"!
I think the original CS lady was embarrassed too as she apologised when the duty manager walked off
I won't go there again, I got her name and the store managers, but who should I complain to, as I feel I was treated as a liar and a criminal!
P.S. I still have the receipt with overcharge written on itI love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.
