Whats this, gang up on Spa2k day ?
What I want to know is how people find r&r's on white sels, like Pluschris did with the Beck Vier ( just ran out, ta Chris).
Also the 2 4 £7 Smirnoff Vodka still scans correctly..shame, just have to drink it.Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -

It is not possible for stores to print out price labels showing exactly what they want it to show, the system prices are set centrally and although they can be changed instore it is highly unlikely that they would be - we stock over 20 thousand lines and our prices are different on only around 7 of them - all reduced to clear lines. With the buckeroo (and cranium if reduced - i havent even seen the thread let alone following it) as constantine has already explained there is something that the system can do whereby it sets the level of reduction based on stockholding and size of store...if you have high stocks then the reduction is higher, if low stocks then a low reduction. Again this process is automated and no store intervention is possible. This would explain the differences in price across varying stores. In our store the buckeroo was reduced to £1.46 i believe.
Aren't ALL labels now produced in-store? Or was sir Terry being economical with the truth when he claimed this?I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -

Is this re-emergence at the same time as mr dastardly's a co-incidence or is there some sort of sinister collusion between the two of you?:D
I can asure spa2k it is purelly co-incidence, as you aware ive been posting on this thread for quite some time and like you i have taken a back seat over the last few months.
I still actively puruse this thread and sometimes i just cant resist posting when i see the same rediculous pattern occuring.
This thread continues to amuse as it very rarely relates to its title of actually discussing the tesco mis price policy. I dont understand why the mods didnt lock this thread a long time ago.
Just my thoughtsWatch out, you never know who is about.0 -

yes all labels are produced instore, i do however fail to see your point....i have never claimed otherwise.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

To be totally honest, re-reading your post, I fail to see my point also. Oh well. Many apologies.
PS Apparently it's saved Tesco millions doing it this way. True?I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -

Extra promotion brownie points, I never took you for a brown noser spa2k :rotfl: :rotfl:
as far as i am aware there are two regular Tesco posters on this board, myself and constantine. There may be people that mention from time to time that they work for tesco but none hang around for long.
Both constantine and myself make it very clear that our posts are personal opinion although there may be some facts posted in order to try to help others, nothing that we post is representative of the company that we work for.
I personally have not mentioned the store that I work in and to my knowledge neither has constantine. Thus we remain anonymous and therefore any supposed brownie points or so called brown nosing are pretty much pointless.
Actually i cant begin to say how much being accused of being a brown nose is insulting.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

I have not known a time that labels were not produced instore.
The only ones that were produced outside of the store were the old wine labels with the information relating to the various wines on them. This process was also bought instore a long time ago.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

The amount of BS excuses I've heard come out of some CS "company brown noses" mouths, I wouldn't put anything past some of them. IMO it would be a bit naive to think otherwise.
if you give me an idea which post you are referring to i might be able to reply to you...unfortunately i have no idea which part you mean!!Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
