I found a new one today managed to get a Philips HDD1620 6GB MP3 Player
White sel £149.97 but it went through at something like £167.79.
Hi there
Can anyone check what price the Philips HDD1620 4GB MP3 player is scanning for please?
In my shop it priced £99 is this right?
Thanks
Sorry i don't know how much the 4GB MP3 is as my local tesco's don't stock them, the store i found the 6GB in isn't local to me.“Hope is the only bee that makes honey without flowers.”

As you say, we aren't eXperts in store policy.
Most of the sel's in my local have the 24/12 on the chocs now so they must plan on extending til then

Check on the grocerie website.
I saw cadburys share boxes £2.35 each or 2 for £4.00 on expired label.
Checked website & they are no longer on offer so guess I should have gone for it.
I did not want to risk being charged correctly as I think they are overpriced for what they are.0 -

Although I have seen both white SEL's with single price (no leg to stand on unless other stuff makes you aware that condition applies), and yellow stickers (with several discounted prices, that also make you aware that they are intro/discontinued, here they should if the CS is awake, you should not get away with it, as the R&R does not apply, as the item already details that the discounts are already applied in the offer terms).
If there was a single price and no indication within it that it has already been discounted, you are not expected to know that it has, or has not. Thus you have to assume that the 10% discount will apply as it has not been informed to you that the phone is either discontinued or introductory (think that these are the two clauses, it says if disc/intro then all discounts are already applied and no further ones will made made, or something along those lines).
Therefore single price not indicating the fact it is disc/introd = 10% discount or R&R, the price marking order laws cover ambiguity in pricing, needs to be clear, concise and non-ambiguous, or something like that.
Clear as mud me thinks !
Or one could simply say that the phone has already been discounted and that the correct price as per the charge at till is displayed.
If asked for proof of the discount, I could quite simply pull an audit report showing the price decrease of 10% on the Motorola SLVR on the date that the promotion kicked in.
The plain fact of the matter is that once again greed is kicking in and people are going to be complaining that their 10% didnt come off of a phone that they hoped to get for free when it has in fact already been discounted.
The colour of the label makes absolutely no difference in law, i could put the prices on pink and green labels if so desired, which pretty much renders the yellow label / white label argument null and void.
As for the part in bold, why do you HAVE to assume that the discount has not been applied, you could argue it the other way and say that you HAVE to assume that the discount has been applied.
This seems to me to be a case of people thinking that they know more than they actually do and once again trying to get a high value item for nowt.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Out and about today and while at CS overheard the assistant telling a customer that clubcard points will only be added manually until 3rd November.
Asked her if it was just that store or nationwide and she confirmed that it was indeed across the whole company.

A quick point about extending the booze offers. In my local Tesco 99% of all drink offers end 7/11.
In other words some stores might be putting out inacurate yellow SELS to "stick one into" R&R'ers.Quotes in context only please.0 -
right, if i find an mp3 player showing £149.99 on the shelf, get them to scan it and they print off a sel for me to keep showing £167, is that definately the price it will go through at? also, can you forsee any problems getting r&r?cant afford to be out of pocket for this!0
