I am getting really hacked off, all I want for Christmas is my 1st R&R !!!
I just bought fosters too.. 2 creates and 16 bottles all scanned at offer price...spent bou £54 on alcohol and now stuck with it.
Tried takng back to another store and they said "no must go back to original store!"

Morning. Had to battle the steak and chicken into the freezer last night! Cant get anything else! Hope ur steak R&R was OK in Broughton!
Tesco Broughton had a 10 day old SEL on chicken thighs - the offer finished 14/10. R&R no probs - CS lady pointed it out to me.... but of course i already knew!Re-embracing the Money Saving Way of Life after a little lapse!0 -

park poole) bought 4 books - price on cover £3.93 price charged £4.97.off i go to cs, no luck, very rude, so i have emailed head office this morning.
the books are all jacqueline wilson.
love lessons, the lottie project, best friends, dare game, lola rose and clean break.
Did you speak with the manager, this is so clear cut. If the sticker on the book is cheaper then it is illegal for them to them charge you more to buy them. They can refuse to sell you them but once the deal is done then they have no choice but to refund you because of the overcharge.
What grounds did they give you?
They can't use the one about a shelf price because there isn't one for these, there is no multibuying going on because you bought different books, can't think of how they can get out of this. It's their product and their sticker so their responsibility.
Good luck with your approach to head office, me - I would go back and speak with the shop manager0 -
Interesting point about yellow sels whose end date has passed, but the offer has been extended.
I wonder how managers/cs staff see this in view of their arguement sometimes, that if the sel shows the end of offer date we should KNOW it reverts back to its pre-offer/higher price, and therefore refuse a refund.
Surely they cannot have it both ways. There are so many examples of offers being extended ( esp Boooze recently) how is the poor customer supposed to know which have been extended, and which have not.
Back to the basic principal - if there is a price on display, THAT is the price the customer should be expected to pay, not the higher price 2 shelves below, or the white sel that was there 3 weeks ago before the recent offer started.0 -

Went into two stores today and all the chocolate "2 for X" offers are still obvious although most say 24/10. Love to know if any aren't
As you say, we aren't eXperts in store policy.0 -

Meant the books, which are mostly set apart from the chart ones with the £3.73 stickers under.
I bought a Best of Blue CD today priced £4.97, sat right next to the same Best of Blue priced at £5.97 and mine went through at the stickered price:mad:0 -
