A quick point about extending the booze offers. In my local Tesco 99% of all drink offers end 7/11.

In other words some stores might be putting out inacurate yellow SELS to "stick one into" R&R'ers.
Do you seriously think that staff have the time to put out inacurate SEL's simply to as you put it "stick one into R&R'ers"?

Not only that but where precisely would they be able to produce these inacurate SELs?

Believe it or not this website and specifically this thread is not the centre of Tesco's universe and to think that it is important enough in the grand scheme of things to even contemplate something such as you have suggested is simply ludicrous.

Put simply, the staff have better things to do.

  • :d :d :d ...........
  • If u do fail u can get a full refund within 28 days no questions asked providing it hasn't been opened.
I have done this a few times.
As far as I know I have kept my club card points & have even got £8 of a £40 spend voucher coz of all the high value purchases I've made recently. One of which was a PSP which I cocked up on.
So even when I fail I succeed!

right, if i find an mp3 player showing £149.99 on the shelf, get them to scan it and they print off a sel for me to keep showing £167, is that definately the price it will go through at? also, can you forsee any problems getting r&r?cant afford to be out of pocket for this!
If they produce a label for you showing the price at £167 then that is the price that it will scan at.

If they are advertising it on the shelf at £149 then yes it is an overcharge but how you would then claim that you thought you would be charged £149 having asked for a label that showed £167 is entirely up to you!

Quite why any member of staff would print of an SEL for a customer to keep is beyond me though.

    i already have the label.....

If the label was not produced today then how do you know for sure that it is current and upto date?

Also, if you already have the label and you produce it as some sort of evidence you run the risk of being accused of having changed it yourself (please understand that i am in no way accusing you of this, merely stating how things COULD look) as there is no legitimate reason that a member of the public should be in possesion of a shelf edge label.

hello lord, long time no see!!!

Is this re-emergence at the same time as mr dastardly's a co-incidence or is there some sort of sinister collusion between the two of you?:D
