Clasics wrote:Classic! Bought Tesco Haddock Fillets last night as it had a Try Me Free sticker on it. It states 'peel back to reveal how to claim a full refund' on ths sticker. Just done that and the writing is completely unreadable!! Anyone got a readable one and can post up what it actually says? TIA!
On a plain piece of paper and in not less than 20 words write what you liked/disliked about the product. Enclose the till receipt with the item clearly ringed. Enclose the top part of the sticker and a self addressed envelope( does not say SAE) send to 2 a week, Try me free promotion,MKM, Nelson House, Timperley, Cheshire, WA14 5BZ.
1 per household across the range not more than £3.95 and there is a date limit which is soon about 2 weeks time so get it done quick.
Hope that helps

Managers meeting in Stalybridge Tesco's today all about r+r and ways to stop a lot of people doing it.
More info might filter through tomz,

Well I can imagine the conversation in the meeting going something like this (with apologies to Constantine and spa2k...who are worthy of (and show) more respect than all of the managers I have come across so far).
Well Tel......We could close all the shops so the b*ggers cant get in.
No, that wouldnt work, cos we wouldnt get paid.
We could follow every customer round the store to see if they found any misprices.
We could make all customers sign a declaration when they enter the store.
We could photograph everyone that comes into the store, then pass them to each other to see if we recognise anybody.
We could have an RandR "happy hour".....
We could plant a spy in the MSE forum...should we call him......Tescospy....or something like that.
We could even attempt to get the prices right.....
I'm sure there'll be wittier ones mentioned at the meeting, and maybe even more sensible ones............we wait in anticipation....Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Excellent! Many thanks for that. Why don't we all take Tesco up on this excellent offer? It still works out free and no @rsey CS to bother with....:DI spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -
well, they shouldnt keep overcharging people. That will stop them needing to do r and r's.0

Kevin .
To be fair and cutting out the humour (quite amusing though it is) the store managers wouldnt have a meeting about how to cut r&r....
Within tesco it is not known as r&r, and to be honest the store managers are already aware of how to cut the phenomenon, get the price integrity depts right. The rest of it is beyond their control.
I have no idea who the OP is or where his information comes from. Quite a few of the managers meetings are held at the store that I work in and unless you are actually in the room with them you have absolutely no idea whats being discussed. This leads me to believe that the OP is either misled with his facts or at store manager level!!!Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Earlier this week I followed a link through the TESCO thread which took me to a site for a £1 off coupon which you print off yourself, it stated that only 1 to be used per visit and the use by date was the end of the year. I used one with no problems but at another store the cashier left the till and took it to a supervisor as the queue built up behind me they chatted and examined the coupon.
The cashier returned and stated that although I had bought the product they couldn't accept the coupon as there were many 'forged' coupons about. She gave me the coupon back. It made me feel rather embarassed.:hello:0 -

Were you watching me? I was a lady with 24 cans of Fosters in her trolly and it was thursday!!!

Something has definitely happened in the last week with regard to the managers getting an @rse kicking. Both of the stores I visited yesterday (not Extras, either) had 'suits' with hand held scanners crawling all over them. They looked like a shoal of fish out of water  . Made the R&Rs I got in each store even more pleasant!I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0 -

Managers with had held scanners does not mean that they are checking for price errors, the most likely scenario is that the stores you visited were going through a stocktake....
Managers all know how to use the equipment and there are loads of functions that these devices can perform not just price checking.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
