  • The winter veg one and tomato creme definately give the discount if that helps.
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p

Which soups do not give the discount?

    Thanks

There are a few with white SELs the ones I noticed/can remember are the Tuscan bean and the Mullagatawny one, I think there are others but I know these wont give the discount.

Remember you only have to buy one of the ones with the white SEL the other can be one included in the offer ;)

    MUNT has just posted this:
Doritos now working properly, so no more R&R on them.

No way, I am addicted to these, I/m sure it was a ploy to get us all so fat, eating well and playing consoles at home in front of the telly that we wouldnt be able to get up and go out to Tescos to r&r......

    Welcome to the real world.

Probably best to mix in a few items - helps keep your profile low at the CS desk and avoids you being identified as a serial R&Rer.

But only buy other stuff you actually need - add in some cheapo stuff as well.

That said, there are times when I have spotted an R&R and not really had much spare time to grab other stuff....

    Have fun

I dont generally do "big shops" in tescos - there are better supermarkets for that.

I usually buy a few odds and ends as well eg. If I'm R&Ring a basket full of steak I might buy a few spuds, packets of pepper sauce etc. I hardly ever spend more than I'm R&Ring

If its a big item like a console then yeah, its on its own, was actually told by a member of CS its better to buy electricals on there own as your receipt is your guarantee its better not to have it as a massive shopping one.

Well, guess what happened to me this morning???

Yep, a banning! Wouldnt mind but it was only while getting an R&R on a Burbs DVD! (stickered £5.97 scanned at £9.9? BTW ;) )
Got my refund then was "had a word with" by the "security guard" (you know, the waif looking beanpole type) he said he knew what I was doing as he'd been watching me and that I am in there "every day" getting refunds (today was only the third time this week)

He said he had the authority of the store manager to ask me to leave and not come back and that I was welcome to phone and talk to manager or phone head office.

I must admit, credit to the bloke, he did stop shaking after he realised I was being civil about it, I did quite loudly state my protest in the middle of the entrance but didnt really cause that much of a scene, couldnt really be bothered!

    But heres the kicker..

Went into another store this afternoon (about 30 or so miles away from above store) and they were all over me like a cheap suit, was practically followed around the whole store and saw/overheard staff nudging each other saying "yeah thats the one" and that sort of thing, I did have a basket of Fosters (which I was going to R&R ;) ) and went to the basket only checkout, while I was waiting I noticed a few more members of staff standing over at the CS desk and also the manager was standing over with the "security guard" (short greasy type this time) I knew it was the manager as it was him that isssued my R&R on a PSP a couple of weeks ago (after being told to by KK at HO)

Dont go into that store that often so cant think why I got all that attention unless the above store had circulated my details?

TAXIPHIL - Can you PM that email address you were on about in earlier posts about someone dealing with this?

After that crushing blow (YEAH RIGHT! ) this morning, I am now "consoling" (excuse the pun) myself playing on my Xbox360 while drinking becks vier and munching on Doritos, not that I need to after my massive dinner of organic sirloin steak washed down with montana sauvignon blanc.

    wonder where that came from.......:A

The store that banned you would have sent a HOST message to all the other stores in its region warning them to be on alert for you. It would indeed have contained your name and a description of you. It is unlikely that this would have been circulated beyond the region so all you need to do when you want to r&r something worthwhile is to drive out of your area.

I have been told, but am not able to confirm that a lot of the recent miss-prices and glitches like the games for next to nothing are down to the computer programming being switched to India to save money. You have to admit the irony if it is true LOL.

    HOST message?

Does that comply with the DPA?

Seeing as I've not done anything illegal?

All organisations have to register with the Gov and state what type of data they intend to hold an why. Go here and search for T (or anyone else you might be interested in)
