  • Can anyone enlighten me?

If there are 2 SEL's (1 correct and 1 out of date), how can you still get a r&r. wouldn't the cs say that there is at least one correct SEL so you can't have the r&r? Or would you say that you only saw the out of date one so you are entitled to it?

    Hope that makes sense!

Because legally, if there are two different prices displayed, the lowest must be charged. Expired SEL does not matter if the price indication is there.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure
  • A few questions and points...

Firstly, started the R&R thing 3 weeks ago, and as my nearest 3 stores all have broken scanners, have had to stick to meat where you can see the misprice on the ticket and shelf easily with no risk of actually being charged the right price! So far, 3 visits, £85 of steaks (organic - mmmm!), but my last 2 visits this week have discovered nothing - where as before, it's been really easy to spot mis-prices. Has anyone else found it suddenly harder to find mis-prices? Are Tesco's sorting things out? and how long has this R&R stuff been going on for (on this website)?

Also, any tips - does anyone know if there is a best time to try stores. The day after promo tickets run out of date? One minute past midnight after a promo finishes? Do computers from headoffice automatically change all the prices on the tills to change the price that is read on the barcode? What we need is a Tesco insider in a management position!

Thanks - sorry if I waffled!

White sel £149.97 but it went through at something like £167.79.

Was this an expired SEL, or a misprice on their system?

This is confusing me a bit. I rang Trading Standards a couple of weeks ago and posted an outline of the conversation on here. One of the things they told me was that a retailer doesn't have to sell at the advertised price. Why does quoting two prices make any difference to this:confused:

In fact I get great pleasure from giving them the empty case whilst telling them that I was overcharged on a phone for eg.

The looks on the CS faces knowing that I know that I am getting it for free and me knowing that they have to get the phone, pack it and then hand me the refund along with the phone, explain to me about the top up and guarantee etc, with a smile on their face,is priceless.

    They hate it.
but what would your argument be if you said this to them before you had the phone/game etc in your hand and they decided it was "conveniently" out of stock? cos we all know how awkward some CS can be

This applies if they withdraw it from sale BEFORE its paid for.
