Went in 5 stores tonight, all stores had these on plain whites SEL's, the Sels showed no previous discounts applied. Have a look around !

It took some debate, but managed to bag 2 phones without too much trouble

    Easy money !!

will go back and grab the phones at some stores further away from tomorrow.

Maybe its a regional !!!!-up then because I found the same thing as Leadhead in all the stores I saw them in.
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

Can anyone confirm whether the Lindt chocolates misprice also applies to the other flavour that was in the offer (was it the truffles, can't recall exactly?). No-one in my family likes the dark ones but I fancy stocking up on the others if the whole offer is failing.

I thought it was valid until 24/10 (the offer initially had an end date a month ago but it was extended, it was certainly working 3 weeks ago as I tried it on an expired SEL then).

Theres no criticism at all intended to anything but the post mentioned.....

I thought that post was fairly useful. There's been a huge amount of attention drawn to R+R hunting recently with large numbers of people getting one or more big refunds, which is fine, good luck to them. But there is likely to be some further increased scrutiny now because of this. We've thoroughly established that CS/store management don't like to give stock away for free as per policy, and have been seen to be cracking down a bit of late on this. Given this climate, the advice was fairly reasonable. What's the use in getting banned over two tubes of pringles when the following week there's another mispriced laptop you can't get?

Consider your fellow hunters as well. A store that's been hit for 20 joints of meat by one customer and been told by HO to give them free is likely to be a little harder on the next misprice claimant, be they intentional or unintentional.

As I've said before - this is a game with no downside - as long as you play by the rules and don't make a drama out of it. Stores get better price integrity so fewer customers realise too late they have been overcharged (and the store gets fewer fines). Customers more often pay what they expect to pay. And we unpaid volunteers get a few rewards for our efforts now and then.
This thread has been going a VERY long time now, think of it as a long haul not a quick blitz and you'll end up further ahead over time.

    Good advice Sarah :D

As general advice, your post is correct. as in critiicism to my post or in support of the OP......it is a load of crap.....

I didnt condone taking 20 bits of meat, fighting to the death for 2 packs of pringles......arguing until you get banned

You summed it up in your first line...."fairly useful"....I agreed with that....for newbies.

I only criticised certain aspects of the post, and questioned the OP's qualifications in condemning others,.....Please read my post again and try and defend the things I criticised.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

  • Hi,

There has been threads about the Motorola phone.
Without reading this thread I had seen the white SEL's and tried for R&R.

The first time the CS was on the ball and stated there was a problem, she went straight to a label station, swiped the bar code and without any intervention the correct yellow SEL printed showing 129 to 99 to 74.99.
That knoked me and I couldn't argue it good enough.

The second I managed to get past the CS, the department/section leader, the deputy manager and even got as far as 'I'll give you 10% off'. At this point I thought I'd won until we go back to the CS desk to find the Store Manager was on the phone about some unrelated matter. After that call the item was again swiped and another yellow SEL came off.

I'm starting to belive there setting this up to see if anybody is 'targeting' items for this policy, it seems odd that all the stores are having the wrong labels on the L7 but nothing else.

No, it simply means that the corrected (yellow) SEL for the L7 did not auto print.

Or its a deliberate plan to catch you all out.

    Take your pick.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

Whoah - relax dude. I didn't criticise your post, just disagreed with you about the content of Tesco R+R raider's post. It's mostly not directed at you at all, I'm certainly not accusing you personally of taking 20 joints of meat. It's mostly a general comment on the situation these days.

For the record, she HAS been around posting about doing this a lot longer than you (not that I think that's important) and I think it's safe to say that there are a LOT of newbies on this thread as many of us who have been around a long time don't post misprices on here any more because Tesco correct them so easily.

This isn't an attack so please don't take it that way, but are you selfish and don't post any misprices anywhere, or do you have an "elite" group you let in on your misprices? Seems to me that you're implying that you take misprices off of this forum but don't give anything back.
