Had 2nd hand car for 16 days and its broken down, what are my rights?

  • Level was on minimum when I collected it on 5th November so topped it up to half way between min and max. So far its had 5 litres put into it.

    If it has not got a pretty serious external leak, then its going though the engine. If all they have done is replace two valves then the seals and guides must be non effective. Unless they have cocked something else up.

    Reject the effing thing! They had a chance to repair and badly f*cked it up, now you've no confidence in them at all. Reject the car and ask for your cash back verbally and in writing. They'll put up a fight, but the laws' on your side here.
