Thank you one and all for a fantastic year on this thread, if it was not for you all I would have lost the plot many a time and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help and support understanding patience and love, thank you:D

I hope 2011 is a great one for all of us, for some of us it is going to be a very sad year and please know I think about you often and have you in my thoughts, I know that is little consolation but you are in my prayers.

I have just had a cooked english breakfast, all grilled and no fried bread in sight, very proud, we did not have masses just enough for us all, no left overs (that is going tobe my thing for 2011, just enough but not greedy mad!) enjoy it for the pleasure rather than how much can I stuff down:rotfl::rotfl:

The turkey is defrosting, we are having that and gammon, OH does not want me to make the jamie oliver butters I used to, or slather the carrots in butter or fry the sprouts with bacon, we are having what he keeps calling a roast, plain roast, obviously we are allowed the pigs in blankets and stuffing but not all the richness that goes with it;)

For veg we have swede and carrot mash, parsnips not in honey, sprouts and roasties.

Starters is brushetta, kids love the sun dried toms and peppers and capers etc desert profiteroles.

I am happy with our food choices this year, sure it is going to be masses etc but it is not covered in fat and oozing grease, I mean did you know up north a chip shop is selling deep fried mince pies?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    None of that this year;)

Happy Christmas to all the wonderful losers, gainers and STSers!

I agree Sary, I think this is a brilliant thread. I'm not losing any weight at all but I think I'd be gaining more without the support and friendliness of the LW people.

I've had a mixed week - a couple of days at the spa eating loads (but healthily) then a day in hospital eating nothing due to a general anaesthetic, and a sort of recovery day today. I'm not sure that it's the ideal preparation for Christmas! I really don't like Christmas pudding, mince pies, Christmas cake and as I'm responsible for the shopping and cooking there won't be any in this house. Sadly avoiding the cake, pies and puddings doesn't result in weight control as I find so may other things to enjoy. See you after Christmas!
  • I agree with everything Sary, Victory and Granny ...... This is a lovely thread :A

I have had one of the best years of my life and I have all of you to thank for it...... Your support and advise have been there every step of the way along my journey. I just hope that I can help others the way you have helped me.

    :xmastree: Merry Christmas Everyone :xmastree:

I look forward to spending 2011 with all you lovely people :D
