Well im quite excited with myself! That shot of "flu" has supressed my hunger enough that i didnt have breakfast yesterday, ate one small portion of christmas dinner and a small buffet in the evening. Today i had cherrios for breakie, a kit kat and a satsuma for lunch. Then ham with salad and some chips for dinner. I'm doing very well

I wonder what happens when you dont feel hungry? Christmas eve i had half a wrap and didnt eat dinner, it was 24 hours without food all in all...just wondered how it works? and why didnt i get very tipsy christmas eve with the alcohol? MAD!!
I got lots of nice pressies, im so lucky

Beanie: Why don't you like new year? I love the anticipation of all that joy and newness a new year brings. It's quite a thing for me, i love spending it with my family and friends, a celebration of the year just gone but a big ball of excitement for the year ahead. Next year is going to be quite a change for me, totally different to the year just gone. Hopefully a hot man will be involved somewhere...ha0 -

Evening all.
I was at SW weigh in this morning, and have had a small gain, but hope to have that gone by this time next week. My TOTM is imminently due, so it could be in part to do with that, but I make no excuses for it, and assume it's down to the past 4 days or so of not being 'on plan'.
Back on plan today, although I did allow an indulgence of Christmas pudding later on, but I did make it back in October, and it does taste absolutely delicious, much nicer than the shop bought ones I have been buying for years (at an extortionate price, believing there was a difference in taste for paying much more for one). I will definitely be making one each year from now on.
Food today has been:
B - banana (so late, it was just before lunch)
L - eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomato, beans. Activia yogurt
snack - fibre bar
D - turkey, potatoes, stuffing, pigs in blankets, lots of veg. Christmas pud & cream
That's likely to be my last indulgence of the season, and I have my turkey stock done and ready to create a gorgeous turkey soup for the rest of the week. The smell is divine already.
Beanie, I'm with you on not liking NY. I associate it with a sadness too, oh, and lots of scary drunk people. I hated it when I was a singleton years ago, as it seemed to be all about couples, and then when I was in a couple, it didn't seem to have any greater significance. I've always wondered if it harked back to when my cat died in the week before Christmas and New Year when I was aged about 10, and I saw that the new year took me away from her? Whatever, I have never seen the appeal of it, and as a non-drinker, there's no likelihood of me wanting to be at a party or in a pub on NYE either. A nice cup of tea, and my new book is far more appealing, and thankfully my children have never had to endure a mum recovering from the night before, unlike their cousins & friends
FFM - lovely to see you pop your head around the door again :waves: I loved horse riding as a kid, so know how thoroughly enjoyable it can be, and what a healthy way of life it is. Good for you, but I was never under the impression it was a cheap hobby (although I always asked my parents for a pony for Christmas)! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0
