Merry Christmas gang!
I've just had 2 croissants, and they were gooooood!Christmas lunch is tomorrow for us, but it's not going to be a mega calorie laden affair, because we don't naturally like lots of fat and butter on things. The roasts will be SW, the yorkshires will be done in frylight, but we will have pigs in blankets (95% meat sausages), and gravy, and I have made a pudding and mince pies, but at least it's all wholesome ingredients.
Today the children like to have pizza and garlic bread for lunch, BF and I will have left over chinese from last night (which was sooo scrummy) I do an evening buffet of nibbly bits, quiche, gammon joint, etc.
Looking forward to having a couple of days off-plan, and then will be really glad to get back on it again. I have weigh in still on Monday morning, but I'm hoping that a morning weigh in will work favourably for me!
Merry Christmas everyone! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Merry Christmas to everyone - I hope that you all have the best Christmas in whatever circumstance you can - I know that this is a difficult Christmas for many of us.
My Christmas dinner will be later today - once we've been to see Grandad in his care home in a short while.0 -
Hello everyone and a Happy Christmas to you all
I thought I would look in and see how many names I recognised, it was great to see so many of you and that Missy has also recently popped in to visit
I still have to keep a food diary to keep me on track, but it works for me and I am still at my 'target weight'.
Desperately need to refocus my 'money saving' as I bought a horse last November - and I can report that people with horses are not rich - I now never have any money and can't afford a holiday, new clothes, etc and car tax will be a challenge in January- however, she keeps me fit and healthy and definitely more sane than I would otherwise be :rotfl:
I had a brilliant summer out most evenings and weekends riding - I now have stomach muscles to die for - I would never had done that at the gym. I'm hating this weather as I can't get out to ride, but am keeping fit by mucking out, poo picking, carrying water because of frozen pipes, shovelling snow to keep the yard from getting icy, lugging hay nets around - it's non stop
The highlight of the summer was a 20 mile endurance ride, which for me at 46 and my horse at 18 was a bit of an achievement for both of us - we had built up slowly throughout the year, so managed it without any ill effects. She was still up for more at the end - I wasn't, I just wanted a 'nice cup of tea' :rotfl:
Best wishes to everyone who may remember me missy, fredsnail, sarymclary, vixarooni, victory, beanielou, brightonbelle, alliwantistosave, granny, mazza and also to all the new people who have joined since my last visit.
I hope 2011 brings you everything you wish for.

it's been one of those days!0 -
Hope you've all had a FAB christmas. The day started great for me with tropical temperatures of -2c:j Which was enough as unfreeze the wash hand basin. Tub of salt and lots of mega hot water down that drain and fire at bottom of drain was enough as clear the bath of ice!!!! Finally got into a hot bath in my own house, with book in hand. It was so lovely. Had been imposing on an old friend for a bath, and having a shower at my mother's. Not the same as having a bath in your own house tho is it :j
Had already invited my x along for xmas dinner as he was going to be on his own, thought it would be nice for the kids. Then when I was tipsy xmas eve, i invited another x along cos he was gonna be alone, then on xmas day i was terrified of the athmosphere lol. Luckily one couldn't make it due to the price of taxis yesterday, so xmas dinner went without any of the atmosphere i was expecting :j:beer::j:beer:
So all in all a successful xmas dinner. Lots of veg. Veg and lentil soup for starters. Was so stuffed, I didn't even manage dessert.
Now I can relax and enjoy my few days off work. Merry Christmas to you all. And here's hoping 2011 brings us all health, wealth and happiness4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
