it was the result of one of those mass data analysis things they did, checking 10ks of people and it threw up this stat, they have no idea why thou0 -
never know, could be totally unrelated - for example, the people taking the anti-oxidants could have had more unhealthy lifestyles than those who didn't (if you dont eat/live/behave badly, you'd feel less need to take anti-oxidant supplements!) the problem with that kind of study is that they can spot various correlations or trends, but thay still can't explain the causes behind each.
got some nice new clothes today in the post (b'day present from OH) tried them on and they all fit (size 12) but feel a bit disappointed in myself for basically losing no weight in the whole year. I don't want next year to be the same. I can't spend my life failing at dieting!!!
Also feel a bit down like it's now 'too late' to try to lose anything before the new yearBetty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

I think I just poisoned myself...
I thought its nearly xmas I've just done my final weigh in before the festivities so it wont hurt if I eat this bit of choccy and those hotdog sausages are calling my name. Now bear in mind I used to love hotdogs sausages especially the big german ones (Bockworst?) so I thought I'll just have four of them with some bread...
Gosh, I feel ill.
What do they put in them?! I feel bloated, slugish and I'm sooooo thirsty. To think I used to eat these all the time.
Someone remind me of this the next time I think 'Mmmmm fat food'
On the plus side I lost another 2lbs this week.:A:A:A:A:A:A0 -
I weighed 72.7 kg this morning, which is 0.01 kg less than 2 weeks ago. Will weigh again in the morning, but from now I am not counting anything I eat or drink, although 'moderation in all things' will be the basic idea.
We have a meeting this evening with 'Christmas drinks and nibbles'. Then tomorrow we're away from here, stay the night in the Premier Inn at Dover ready to catch an early ferry the following morning and drive down to Bouillon in the Belgian Ardennes. I intend to enjoy whatever is on offer but in moderation. I have the ability to stop when I feel full, in fact, I couldn't possibly binge-eat. When I'm full, I'm full.
We've just done a Tesco delivery order, to be delivered on the Wednesday of next week - we're back on Tuesday, and we thought it would be simpler rather than having to battle with the shops as soon as we get back.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

:-( very little has gone according to plan today: heating packed up this morning and the loo stopped filling up with water as well. Also one of my cars is in the garage poorly engine and i had one of those "sharp intake of breath ooh it probably wont be cheap" conversations with the mechanic :-( been doing the emotional eating thing that i always do at times like this. Will be back in a bit when ive finished kicking myself for being such an !!!!!0

ugh, Fred - please can you take me off the chart for now?
I can't believe it but i've gained again, and it's really getting me down so i'm going to step away from the scales, sort my head out and try to get back on track.
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas :xmassmile

Oh i sympathise with you puddings. Got up to the house freezing yesterday morning. After the flooding at the weekend due to frozen drainage pipes, I went into a paddy fit with the tears rolling and the stamping of feet. Managed to get it going myself with a couple of kettles of boiling water over the overflow from the condensor and a quick reboot of the electrics (Thank you to the engineer who showed me how to do that!!!)
After the gearbox going in my old car, got myself a wee new old banger, and the engine management light came on. Another total panic!!! Luckily it was just a glitch caused by the cold weather. But was total panic stations, especially as I had only just bought the damn thing!
Totally understand the comfort eating. Been there too. So much so that I refuse to step on the scales!!! I'll be back after xmas and new year when things settle down a bit here. This is my late shift, don't finish til 8pm. So off to tesco to get something healthy or tasty to put in the microwave at work for my dinner.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
well done sary -so exciting seeing sw work for you.
And well done Margaret - slowly slowly does it. I hope you have a peaceful and enjoyable xmas break away.
Commiserations to you who are suffering the eats from the cold and so much food about. Hopefully in the new year you will find it much easier to get back on the wagon.
a sts for me please fred.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Has anyone tried Green Coffee Extract?
:Dhappy to declare a 7lb loss this week... however i reckon the scales "owed" me 4 of those from last week when they gave an unexplained gain, so really to myself im looking at today as a 3lb loss, which is still ok.
It's going to be a real test of willpower this week isnt it!0
