Have had an extremely carb heavy day, but also had so much fun spending time in the kitchen baking!
Made bagels, bread rolls for dinner, cheese n herb muffins and chai latte syrup!!! :D

  • It's great to hear you happy and positive bettyB. And I think your new year plan not to diet is a great one. It seems often some of your foodie treats are tied up with having a nice time with your OH and it seems a pity to take the edge off that. Here's to lots of exercise for you in the New Year.

    Mazza - I have PM'ed you:D

Beanie - not suprised you feel hacked off: so much relentless snow is so extra wearing when you have mobilty problems:(.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

thanks BB - you're right about OH and I enjoying foodie treats together, but I do think that a major task for us in 2011 is to cut down on that habit - neither of us need as many 'treats' as we have at the mo.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of getting on my scales and ruining my good mood - this is officially the heaviest I've ever been at Xmas (and this is before xmas!) But I am going to stay positive and try to be sensible - otherwise my eating will get out of control with my emotions.
Might have to step away from the bread machine and onto the stepping machine for a while tho!!

Yeah, plus I always find that the more I exercise the better I feel, therefore the less I feel the need to binge on cr*p food.

I really hope the weather warms up quickly. Jumping about the living room to Davina is ok but I've a feeling the novelty is very short-lived and it can't really compete with my old routine of cycling to the gym, treadmill, swim and cycle home - that was hardcore!!

    Morning gang,

I know that the cold weather is meant to help us burn more calories, but in all honesty, I'd rather go out for a walk to burn them, than freeze.

It's keeping us very close to home, which is a bit of a bummer, because we were meant to be visiting family near London, but have had to cancel that.... I'd rather we were safe than sorry. I seem to have just stayed in the warm kitchen and baked for several days, which I find actually puts me off eating, if I'm surrounded by food all the time.

BF and I are going to venture out in a short while to go to Lidl to get our veggies & fruit for christmas. I want to get a couple of stocking fillers for my youngest two, as I'm doing them a Christmas Eve hamper with goodies to get snuggled down with in front of a festive DVD before bedtime.

I'm worried I'll forget to post my results tomorrow, if I get busy, so I'm going to put the scores on the doors a day early for me. SW party last night, and last weigh in before Christmas. I was really worried that 2 meals out last week would have had a bad impact (as well as some nibbles of biscotti over the w/end), so I was delighted to get a -3.5lb loss. My BF just shook his head and said, I dunno how it works that diet of your's, but it's obvious it does work. He's not wrong, I can't fathom it, because I'm never hungry, which seems to have switched me off from thinking constantly about food, but it is amazing.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

What? I take them, does that mean I am due to pop off soon? Why are they allowed to sell them if they shorten your life?
