Re waste I hate that too and no way do I buy in anything that is just going to hang around not being eaten so I ask them specifically for their 3 fav foods each OH has chosen a whisky dundee cake(yuck!) galaxy choc bars (don't like them) and trifle yuck again the kids loads of sweets, pringles, crisps(I only eat ryvita snack a jacks already have them) and mince pies do not eat mince pies, squirty cream yuck, xmas pud, xmas cake anything like that so that is a bonus and also this year as to not be left out in the high street an olde sweet shop has been opened and they sell 5 shelves worth of sugar free sweets:j:j so I now have sugar free toffees, sherbets, fruit, etc and they are lovely , youngest tries to eat them as well as sugar free mints and werthers so it won't be sugar it will be the portion sizes and the meats love the meats and the roasties, yorkshires, don't eat cheeses so they have got all that, infact my xmas cupboard is very tiny compared to theirs all I have is lindt balls, sugar free sweets, crackers, ritz biscuits diet coke and some milk choc digestive biscuits:D but the cals will pile on because of the portions;)

I don't drink but on xmas day yes I do a glass of champers we all have a toast, we have baileys and masses of beers but OH will drink that and guests.

I am taking all the homemade xmas pressies to work now they loved the pots of gold last year, this year it is snowman soup and sweets in cellophane, decorated lovely they like the homemade touch and appreciate it so I don't mind making them something:D

You cant blame christmas dinner and all the extras!
because christmas dinner without all the extras is nothing to worry about.
You can basically have a double portion of turkey (remember to take the skin off first), half a dozen potatoes, a spoon of stuffing and a whole bucket full of veg, and i reckon for most people that wouldnt come to more than a thousand calories.
Its the puddings, pates, cheese, chocolates, nuts, mince pies and christmas cakes all washed down with endless beer or wine that needs the finger of doom pointing at it!

My worst culprits are truffles and chocolate brazils, so theres NONE of them on my shopping list this year!

Unfortunately, that's the bit I hate. Can't stand roast dinners - Yeurgh.

I am all about the extras. I would rather have cheese and crackers than a proper xmas dinner. Usually i just pick at it then eat half a round of brie during the cheese course!!

I normally have thirds for christmas day. I normally skip breakkie and start straight on chocolate. I graze all day pretty much! Still, no point in holding back, could be the last chrsitmas you have so might aswell enjoy it!

I wish corrie would finish. Time to go now kennith!

We just have a normal roast dinner with roast potatos, xmas pud, mince pie, and a wrap with cheese & salad in the evening. We don't eat until late (when we get back from visiting my Grandfather at his care home in the afternoon).

Not a big drinker either, and will only have a few choc's if any.

I'm just really boring on Christmas Day.

There is a very weird man who works for DHL down this way. He'll just sit himself down at my desk and lean so far forward he touches my face. Bit of an exaggeration but hes a weirdo. He gets a bit miffed if i dont know the answers either!!
ive been trying to work out what questions he asks that you might not know the answer to?
I only ever ask two questions and i suppose if the customer didnt know the answer to either then i'd get a bit miffed too... they are 1) "whats your surname please?" 2) "are you going to open the door and take this bloody parcel or not?"
    :rotfl:
  • Well xmas day breakfast will be a green smoothie. Lunch; turkey and veg but no tatties. Pud will be natural soya yoghurt with added chopped dates.
No chochie but some nuts with rice milk to wash them down. Yummy. :D:A
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

He asks me, "I need to pick up the green bag, where do I go to collect it?"

I had a top day at bluewater, spent £78 on make up I didn't need and a gift bag. No outfits, no clothes. Pants really. I'm trying to be good and not eat rubbish, think im sort of failing :(
