    Evening guys.

Now I have a dilemma. My official SW weigh in on Monday was STS, but when I got on my scales this morning, they're now weighing me -2lb lighter than they did at the beginning of the week. Do I just declare that, or hang on until next week's official one? Not sure what to do now.

Puds - I used to work as a courier, and I found it nigh on impossible to find people in to sign for parcels, but the company I worked for insisted on it. They expected me to go up to 10 doors either side of the addressee's house knocking for a neighbour who could take it in. Imagine how long that would take, when you have a car full of parcels. Absolutely insane. The worst part of my job then was the catalogue delivery... I'd have a couple of pallets worth to deliver in 3 days, and the weight in the car was dreadful. I can't say I was sorry when that position was made redundant.

Mazza - I heard on TV earlier the complaints people were making about their post. It just amazes me how insular and unthinking people can be. I'm grateful that our posties have managed to get out every day so far... even my milkman makes the 20 mile trip out to me, and my milk was frozen solid when I brought it in yesterday. It did occur to me last week with all the snow that if I was going to order anything online, I had to do it soon, so all my Christmas presents are ordered, and hopefully somewhere on their way, and will arrive before the big day.

Beanie - fingers crossed for your delivery. It's no fun being stuck in.

I can feel the start of a cold today. My throat is raw like it's been sandpaper'd, stuffed up nose, hot eyes and headache. I'm upping my fruit intake to give me the extra vitamin C.

The best news of all today is that the heating is fixed! I could have kissed the engineer I was so happy. He's still got some work to finish off tomorrow, but he managed to get it all fired up and working, so we have a new all singing and dancing (and heating) boiler, and it heats the hot water as you use it, rather than heating a tankful, which is a genius idea, and more economical. I thought my BF was going to have a heart attack before long if we'd kept using the electric heaters we'd got. They've upped our daily electric usage by x6!!!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Vix -- your posts about Finland reminded me -- you can get actual reindeer meat in £idl ... would it feel as if you're eating Rudolf d'you think? Your probably one of the least un human people in the world. Don't worry if you're not in floods at the funeral.

Beanie -- good suggestion to Puds but I'd assumed it wasa made up name ... do you know a real Pam C********?

I have had a fab few days away with my friend in Birmingham :D I have finished my Christmas shopping, went to the christmas Market and had my first ever Pretzel (which made me very bloated and gave me bad wind :o)
Also had some Mulled Cider which was divine  But 4 hours shopping will burn a few calories off.

I'm off to the Christmas market this weekend, I don't like the pretzel much - too salty for my liking. I do like the fried cheese stall though :o and the chocolate fruit :o and the warm wine :o:o:o

I'm hoping for an STS next week - there will be lots of walking to burn any naughties that may pass my lips :D

Up to you Sary - you can declare it if you want. You'd have less time until your next weigh in though.

Glad you've got heating now too.

It was about a year ago i went to birmingham. I liked it.....but there was something about it i didnt. The 500 asians that congregated outside the shopping place might have had something to do with it, it was rather bizarre. Oh and i missed JLS perform, not a great loss but still!

Granny: My finnish chum has eaten it, he says its alright. Personally its a no for me, i only eat chicken and pork in certain formats. How are you dizzy thingys? Apologies, i've forgotten the name of it.

    Congrats to our SoTW efrieze.

Well done to all our losers and STSers and commiserations to the gainers - chin up and keep plodding and you will get to your goal.

was the bit where the engineer got you all fired up before or after the kissing and singing and dancing? No wonder the BF nearly had a heart attack!

Beanie, wouldnt it be a coincidence if you did happen to know that Capita woman! Its probably a different one but with the same name - if the one that you know isnt a jobsworth with facial features similar to a lemon sucking bulldog, then its definitely not her ;-)
As for deleteing the surname, am i missing something or why would i need to do that?

Sary...The thing with dhl@home is that the pay for dropping parcels is extremely attrocious. Standard parcels are less than a pound each and amazon parcels or catalogues are only about paid about half of that! Ive told them that I wont do anything less than the standard parcel rate but thet keep sending me amazon stuff anyway. (i found out that hdnl drop the same amazon parcels but pay double to their home couriers compared to what we get ) To make it worthwhile I need to do a drop every 4 minutes, so messing about with calling at 10 doors either side, well they can go shove that idea!!

Well, remembered to weigh in today, and it was a +2lbs over the last 2 weeks. Not surprising. But hopefully all the walking to work thru the snow and ice will have helped knock one or two pounds off for next week :D

Naw, I really shouldn't moan about them, the majority of customers have been great. Really great! Think I had about 10 who hung up on me, or were nasty. Not a lot in the grand scale of things :) Just use my poshest voice to annoy them :rotfl:
