meant to say (its 5am
) that the swiss ball is a pretty cool chair, its like a cross between a space hopper and a bean bag, you just cant help bouncing about on it and generally playing on it, defiantly ups your cals a little bit. I often get off it after 60-90 mins tired so it must be doing something
i have had a week off of the diet, being snow bound and cold has pretty much blown the diet out of the window, ate 500 extra calories yesterdayscoffed the last lamb shank from Aldi
and I had chips on wednesday down the pub
and worst of they where disgusting and left a dirty fat coating in my mouth for over an hour, blurghhhh

Whilst waking up certainly can be a sign of depression, it's not the only thing to wake up for. As previously mentioned, my tea break when i was on night shift. And in the new year, I'll wake up at 4 every morning for work as I'll be going back onto earlies and lates for the 2 weeks leading up to xmas. Pretty sure my body clock needs new batteries!4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

:TAh Fellpony that sounds like a wonderful day - hope your DD enjoyed herself. In regards to this waking up early ect....you know what it is dont you? OLD AGE!!! Old people never sleep through, they get up and wee and mooch and do all sorts. I can't wait for the time i cant go to bed without getting up for a wee!!
LOL :rotfl:I think that happens at around the same time that you realise you can't drink half a glass of wine without falling asleep
Eric - dont worry about going over your cals for one week, trust me snow stops play for everyone, sends your whole routine out of whack (no shopping or outdoor exercise) and as i'm pretty sure you said earlier on, the cold weather makes us eat more to reserve calories.
I for one am making the best of the cold weather by cooking up a load of hot lunches and dinners - hot macaroni and cheese for lunch and a lovely warming chilli for dinner today! Better than all those boring salads you have to eat in summer!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

On the topic of waking up early - I think a better way to phrase it is that depression can cause you to wake up early, but waking up early is not necessarily a sign of depression! As a psychologist, I dont want all the early risers to start questioning their mental health based on this conversation!!!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Fellpony, it sounds like you had a really special day, to be on the tv and all the glitz that went with it :-) I'm really pleased for you and your daughter. What's the brave heart award all about, I havent heard of it before?0

when did chocolate advent calenders become the norm? all i used to get behind each window was a rubbishy picture like a robin or something like that. Now its hard to find an advent calendar that doesnt have chocolate in.
suppose there's always the beer option0 -
Hehe I like the look of that advent calendar! I'd like one with a glass of Baileys behind each door!!!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
