BB what goes into your green smoothie?
You can google green smoothies and find a whole new world out there: lots of books etc and recipes online.
But the most basic is: handful of spinach (or any other green leaf), a banana and 240 ml water.
Mine today has a few more ingredients: a large handful of chard and pakchoi, roughly chopped and into liquidiser, one carrot more finely chopped, celery, a banana and a pear chopped and 500ml water.

You can add more fruit to sweeten: it should be sweet enough to be enjoyable: the purpose of the fruit is to counterbalance the green veg.
I also throw in a few flax seeds and the contents of a green tea teabag but they are extras.
This makes about a litre which I drink 500ml at a time.
Any green leaves will do: spinach, cabbage, spring greens etc. It's good to vary what you use if doing them regularly. You also don't have to have the carrot and celery. I just enjoy the variety.

I find it a great way to double the veg I am eating: and raw is extra benefitcial in the vits and mins. It also means if I am having a meal that traditionally doesn't have loads of veg, I don't have to worry as I am still eating plenty in between and they are nice and filling too.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

de1amo - I don't like to disagree but it could also be a sign of just being a poor sleeper, having a restless child, a small baby or a million other things. I don't think it's a sure sign of anything. So don't worry Eric - just turn over and go back to sleep. That's what I do.

De1amo did say "for no good reason" and i reckon crying babies and noisy children are a good reason to wake up.

I wake up early and cant get back to sleep if I'm worrying about something, but i dont think that makes me depressed.
I guess tomorrow though I'll be wide awake at 4 in the morning worrying over whether I'm depressed or not ;)

I've woken up at 4 every morning for coffee, since I worked night shift for years. This is when we had out coffee break. Can't get out the habit of it :rotfl:
