    Here's this weeks chart:

Congrats to our SoTW and SoTM flis21 with a great loss.

Well done to all the losers and stsers this week and commiserations to the gainers.

The winner of this months North v South challenge is the Southern Stunners with a total loss of 2.08%. I'll run another N v S challenge in the new year if people want it.

Next week is the start of the next 5lb challenge - please post if you wish to join the new challenge so I can enter you in it.

Thanks for the chart again Fred, and I do like this week's quote.

After a bit of indulgence at christmas and new year, I think another north/south challenge in January might be good motivation to get the pounds and ounces moving again ?

I bought one of those heart rate monitors today, not really sure how to use it, or even where to put the chest strap, the instructions that come with it are RUBBISH!

I want to shed another 17lbs by christmas. big target but ive got plenty to spare:-)

Mandz - welcome back! Take one step at a time and no matter how many times you fall off the wagon, just keep getting back on.

Mazza - you're gonna end up with all your sister's unwanted granola and stuff!

Alliwant - i got the vest off ebay, there arent many 30kg ones to choose from onthe market, but quite a bitof choice for 20s and 10s some on amazon, sportsdirect etc so should be able to find a good deal on a lighter one

Thanks Eric, Sary and Mazza - I know that dietchef isn't for me just by looking at it, it wouldn't suit my lifestyle and in no way is a replacement for willpower!! Thanks for the input tho. I have ordered a sample meal for free anyway, simply becuase it's a freebie hehe!! :money:
But I love cooking from fresh ingredients too much to let a 'diet' make me eat ready meals. Also, it's pretty easy to have granola for brekkie, soup for lunch and a small portion of something yummy for dinner anyway!!!

the thing i am struggling with Sary is that it feels very unstructured - i dont have a 'plan' to follow like SW or something, and I sometimes worry that I let myself slide on things that will hinder my progress, sometimes without even realising! I think what I need to do is sit and write my own diet book, what I want to achieve and how I want to do it - low fat, low sugar, what foods are ok, what to have in moderation, what are my fave meals and recipes, etc, that way I have a bespoke 'diet' just for me that I can stick to rigidly, for at least 1 month till Xmas and see how it goes!

Well done to flis on SOTW!:T

    thanks Fred for the chart.

Having a good day today, had some OJ for brekkie (really sugary and calorific but I have it like it's medicine when i have a sore throat) and some shredded wheat with rice milk. No carb-free diets for me! Lol. I have got into the excellent habit of weighing my cereal and measuring my milk in the morning - thanks to SW - and I do it now even though i am not on SW as it is v handy to stop myself from filling the bowl up too much. I never realised how easy it is to have 2-3 'servings' in one bowl!

alliwant - hope the photoshoot goes well, i'm sure you'll look fab and you should be really proud of yourself after all you've lost.

i love the getting a freebie :money:

there is absolutely no bloody point in doing these meal replacement schemes, i still for the life of me can not get to grips with why the need for these ridiculous magic bullet solutions when the healthy way is the easiest and cheapest way

    baffles me
