well done flis and efrieze on your losses!!

Being ill is having a strnage effect on my diet - I seem to go from hungry to full really quickly and feel sick all the time :(
Just made myself some parsnip, carrot and chicken soup, ate a bit but then began to feel ill so the rest will go in the fridge for tomorrow.

Hopefully I will see a loss tomorrow as a result of my inability to overeat! lol

Vix, have you discussed your op with the interviewers? if you ask they might be able to sort out your assigned holiday in line with the potential op date? At the end of the day it's in their best interests to see you fit for work! I think you are very brave, I get the jitters when flying and could never be cabin crew!! (not scared of flying per se, but hate the bumps, the feeling when taking off, etc, in the same way I hate rollercoasters!) But i guess the people who do it for a living get used to it.

Well done to flis, efrieze and Marion on losing again.
Marion - exercise that doesnt involve knees? well it's a shame that swimming's not an option because that would be my first suggestion. Can you do sit ups? most people do them laying flat on the floor, but if (like me) getting up from the floor can be "traumatic" then maybe lay on your bed with your feet dangling over the edge, that way when you've finished you will only need to stand from a sitting position ?
There are probably dvds about armchair workouts - or there are a few other ideas here

I've bought a weighted vest, it has 30 pockets, each holds a 1kg weight. So tonight when I go for a walk with the dog, I'll fill 22 ofthe pockets to take me back to my starting weight again for a while :-( ... and then really feel the difference when I take it off :-)
plus if ever i need a fancy dress costume: stick a few electrical wires hanging out ofthe pockets and could go as a suicide bomber ;-) what a bonus!

Thanks for the link puds, the resistance bands look like a good idea! I have tried doing the bed sit ups and that worked very well too, although my dog almost had a nervous breakdown! Every time I sat up he started to leave the room and then when I went down he came back in - after about 5 of them he started pawing me and whining!:rotfl:

im loving your new signature eric :-)

the "suicide bomber" vest is surprisingly comfy. one downside is that even at maximum length, the straps will only just fasten but if i put any weights in the third row of pockets then the straps wont fasten at all. This means that it's limited to 20kg until i shed a few more inches off the old waist.

I found this on the net and thought some folk on here might find it a bit interesting...

Your cycle diagram is SO true for me, Puds. And it's vary hard to get back on teh cvylce and keep pedalling when you feel that you're going round again (and again ..... and again)

    Flis and efrieze wonderful losses!!
