  • STS this week. Obviously it's going to take a long time to get out of the 73s, just as it took ages to get out of the 74s, and 75s etc etc......

I wore the 20kg vest on my usual dog walk last night and boy do i feel all achey this morning - maybe naievely I didnt think it would have that much effect!

It's a 1lb loss for me! Woo hoo!! It's a good start to my Birthday challenge!

Well done on your losses puds, eric and BB
Love the graph puds, except for me the arrow with the red circle around it goes both ways and I am stuck between the two!! (ie. decide to lose weight - give up - decide to lose weight - give up - and on and on and on!) Hopefully this time I have made it to the second box (try hard!) :rotfl:

Glad the vest is working. It must be an odd sensation to 'put on' what you have lost and feel the effects that weight used to have one your body.
I bet your dog is loving your new enthusiasm for walkies!!!

I think there is something wrong with my scales. They are on a lino floor so it can't be the squishy carpet effect, but when I got on the first time they said 10, 7.5 and then I got on the 4 more times and each time it went up by a 1/4lb!

I usually get on a few times and take the average but seeing this happen I wonder if they are ever correct?? From now on i'm just going to take the first reading - it's quite depressing to see your weight increase by 1/4lb each time you step on them!!!

Also, was reading Bridget Jones's Diary last night (one of my faves) and was dismayed to realise that all through the book she moans about weight and calories, but weighs about 9 stone!!! :(

  • STS for me this week please Fred. Not too shabby as I've not been to exercise class for a couple of weeks and I've generally been feeling a bit rubbish with lots going on in my head.

Start of a new week though so positive thinking!

    hmm, I've found this: www.dietchef.co.uk
they send you all your food. Makes me wonder if it's worth doing for a month or so or if it's just rubbish. If I lived alone i'd prob do it but since i cook for OH it'd be hard....

I think maybe more for somebody with a mobilty problem, ie can't get to the supermarket? Arent they just convenience meals, and there's a huge range of lower calorie meals just like these at most supermarkets and it would work out quite a bit cheaper too i would imagine?
