Good to see the thread has returned to normal! Was getting a bit worried reading through this morning that chaos was ensuing! let's just remember we're all here to support each other, in weight loss and in life. We've all got our little problems, humour is always the best medicine when we're feeling a little down along with the good advice received on here.
agree!

sary which foods are you going to base it on this week?
So far...
B cereal and fruit and skimmed milk
L not sure but prob eggs and beans
D thai curry
I hope your son is OK, and that he's got something as innoccuous as trapped wind, which can be pretty painful at times.
My week is going to be full of more veg/fruit, so my meals will be packed with them. Today I'm having a 'green' day, which looks like this:
B - WW yogurt, apricot, strawberries, plum, 1% apricot yogurt (2.5 syns)
snack - Fibre plus bar [heb 1]
L - superfree/speed packed quiche, dynorod speed veg/pulses soup
snack (post-gym) - banana
D - jacket potato, 42g l/f cheese, baked beans, [hea 1], mixed salad: lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, spring onions, peppers, l/f dressing (0.5syn)
milk in teas [hea 2]
Evening snack - Hifi flapjack bar [heb 2]

I try to factor in, at the beginning of the day, the snacks I'm going to have. So for today I know that I'm going to have a couple of cereal bars, and plenty of fruit, maybe a fat free yogurt, etc. Thankfully, because I'm not having to count calories, I do have a large choice of snacks that I can have each day, and I have reasonable sized meals that satisfy me for longer. I also recognise when I am eating out of boredom, or just habit, which is where the pre-planning helps. For example, I've just made myself a 'proper' coffee (decaf) and had a Kellogs Dark Chocolate Fibre Plus bar with it, which is a bit like having a couple of chocolate digestives to me. Knowing that I have to have the fibre bar as part of my daily fibre intake takes any guilt away. I have a banana sat next to me in case I fancy it, but as it's so close to lunch, I'm going to have that in the next hour, then save the banana for after the gym this afternoon. I know that at about 8pm tonight I'll be having another fibre flapjack bar (again part of my allowance), with my last cup of tea of the day. If, and I doubt I will, but if I feel at all peckish inbetween those times, I have fresh melon, plums and apricots to pick at, but in my head I will know I don't need them, so it then has to come down to having an element of self-control.
A lady I know has a one of these Dr Who creatures on top of her fridge, as a reminder of the fat she wants to lose (her daughter actually said the creatures were shaped like her!)
Others I know put a picture of an aspirational image, be that the body that you want to have, or of an item of clothing you want to wear, etc. Most of all I'd say to set yourself a particular routine to ask yourself each time you go to eat, 'do I really need this, am I hungry or am I picking for the sake of it?'. I've had these conversations out loud with myself, got food out of the cupboard/fridge, and then put it back again, saying loudly 'no, I don't really need it, I was just having a moment of weakness!'Brighton_belle wrote: »We stop speakking to you

Hi all, i dont know if this is already somewhere on here but, if you make in the morning
8OZ boiling water and add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamin cover for half an hour and then add 1 teaspoon of honey and stir really well, then split the drink in half, drink half in the morning and half at night before going to bed, its supposed to be really good for weight loss (i havnt tried it myself so i couldnt tell you for sure but ive heard lots of people saying it does)
Also if you drink 3 cups of green tea daily it helps speed up your motabalism (sorry for spelling!!) so that might be of help for some people? also when you want chocolate dark chocolate is supposed to be the best because its so rich it satisfies your cravings after a few bites rather then eating a full bar of other choc
Hope this helps0 -

ha ha classic! :rotfl:
I read about his some years ago, it was part of some celebrity diet I think... I also seem to remember that the water honey cinnamn drinks were the ONLY thing that you were meantto eat or drink during the day, and obviously that just wasn't healthy!!
yeh it's basically the same at the maple syrup and cayenne papper drink. not sure it really has that many benefits and ppl only lose weight cos that's all they have all day and then they get malnourished and pass out!
i do put a lot of caynenne pepper in my food tho, and chillis and ginger. v good for you (as an ingredient, not a diet!)Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
