Oh my god, i totally had to share this with you! So i got all dressed up, jsut because i wanted to. I was going to go clubbing but though i better not for the london trip tomorrow. Well anyway, i put on my dress and my waist belt, and OMG the waist belt was loose!!!!!!! Before it was too tight really (just about getawayable) but now its too loose!!!! SO EXCITED. Its like the best sign i've had that i've lost some weight.

That's great! It's always nice to see the number on the scales going down, but finding that your clothes are too loose is so much more exciting!!!

Well it was weigh in day today. I've lost 3lbs... which makes it half a stone in total!!!!! Yay! That also means that I've completed the 5 lb challenge.

I was a bit sloppy with my carb counting yesterday (the fact that I made low carb cookies didn't help - I couldn't resist and ate 5!), so think I need to try a bit harder today - the cookies have now gone so it should be a lot easier now! :rotfl:.
I'm going to weigh myself on thurs as I will have been on Atkins a week by then, so will see how effective this diet really is.

today is cupboard clearing day. i've had two weeks of heading in the wrong direction and enough is enough. All the bad stuff thats slipped past security into the fridge or cupboard is being evicted!

and i'm going to fast for the rest of today, just plenty of water for a sort of detox, then tonight i maybe wont feel so stuffed and tomorrow hopefully that will put me in a good frame of mind to restart the 5-small-meals plan again (inc plenty of salads/soups/walking/stair climbing/ and sleep!)

It pains me to throw food out. I should know by now that if i buy it then i'll eat it. So the answer is obvious... dont buy it. maybe I should have that as my signature!

    Hey everyone,

    Just saying hello :)

Had a mad weekend but managed to resist the dessert with the meal at the function (well done me!). Probably drank too much but fortunately the hangover was a great appetite suppressant the next day.

That's my social calendar free for a few months so I concentrate on getting trim.

Lost another couple of pounds so down 8lbs in total from my start at new year. Steady Eddie I suppose.

Going for extraction of a wisdom tooth at 2pm so I'm sure I'll avoid eating too much today. :rotfl:

Victory, just saw your post re. disappointing no loss again this week. From your food plans you look to be doing everything fine to me.

There's only one thing that did occur to me, that can affect things, is your portion sizes, and amount of food you're eating. The one alien thing about SW is that you do seem to need to eat quite a lot of food. Far more than I've been used to eating, especially when I did WW (I was starving all the time), and calorie counting, invariably hungry mid-evening, and mid- morning. Constantly waiting for meal times to come around, so I could eat again. A lovely lady at our class last week was very miffed to have not lost, she'd followed the plan to the letter, been really good..... but, she'd not eaten enough food.

Are you having a reasonable, if not generous sized portion at mealtimes? I know you have a big appetite that you've spent years trying to battle, I'm with you on that one, but I do find that on my hungrier weeks I have invariably done better with loss, probably because I've been munching on/off throughout the day, but I've been munching on the right things.

Another thing to look at to encourage loss, would be to up the quantity of 'superspeed' foods. Look for the SS symbol beside the veg/fruit in the book. By the sounds of things, the amount of melon you've had, I'd have expected you to lose from that alone!

Stick with it, let your body adjust to the new foods. You're enjoying the meals by the sounds of it, so continue to do that, and you maintained, rather than gained (that would have been a real kick in the teeth otherwise)!

Betty, life gets in the ways sometimes with exercise doesn't it? If my BF wasn't reminding me, cajoling me to go 3 times a week I would let it slip more. Fortunately I am just getting over that feeling of dreading going, and actually beginning to enjoy the benefits, which encourages me to go more.

    Beanie
the shoulder is fine. A day or so of being a bit sore on/off, but yesterday I did a back/shoulders/arm workout with no problems at all. Oh, and the abs are fully recovered, and I can do the initial workout of 3 weeks ago easily, when before I was struggling to sit up from flat keeping my legs on the floor, and BF had to sit on my feet, now I can do it unaided, and with no discomfort. It's amazing how fast our bodies can adapt and improve... especially my knackered old body!
