    Hi Everyone,

Not posted on here for a while as I've been quite busy (and very tired!), but thought I'd better make the effort. I made a snap decision thurs morning that I would start my low carb diet. I decided that if I was going to go for it, I may as well go the whole hog and do Atkins!

I'm finding it pretty easy now, although spent thurs and fri with a constant headache and hardly any energy. I'm doing the 'new' one where you count the carbs but minus the fibre (I'm not sure, but I don't think that was part of the original one?). This makes it a lot healthier as I can eat loads of salad and veg - more than I expected to be able to.

My original plan was to just go on it for a week to kick start my diet, then move straight to the second phase of adding carbs, but I may stay longer as the strict carb limit is making me a lot more creative in the kitchen and I'm trying out loads of recipes. My son LOVES it! He has eaten soooo much over the past couple of days, like pancakes and muffins, which he can't usually eat very often.

After starting on thurs, I decided to weigh myself fri morning - I'd put on 2lb!!! It was awful, and so depressing. Luckily I persisted and have now lost it, plus another 2lbs!!! Not bad for three day's work! I'm not declaring that loss as I'm not due to weigh in until tues, so will hopefully have lost a little more by then.

Right, I'm off to get dressed as we've got to go food shopping today :(. It's so depressing now, as I can only eat around 5% of the food they sell!

you know what they say about mud sticks and theres no smoke without fire...
well i hope this mud doesnt stick and there definitely IS smoke without fire right here

and the only i got "done" for in 2008 was when the royal mail phoned me up very angry cos i'd overstuffed (and broken?) a whole load of postboxes with about a thousand packets of things that i needed to mail out - the angry woman asked why i didnt just take them into the post office (well it was about 2oclock in the morning by the time i'd got them all ready to go ;-)

Just to reassure newbies and anybody that doesnt know me. I am NOT a peado stalker! and you vicki need to wash your mouth out!

ps. northern times! its being updated soon, theyre going to start using a "printing press" to publish this on paper... no more chalk on slate for us, no no we'll soon be moving fast into the 20th century. When the salt pits close the kids that lose their jobs will maybe get work pushing those printed papers through peoples doors each morning?

A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:

So, tomorrow is one week since started SW and switched from WW, I am really looking forward to the weigh in this week because I know I have been brilliant and nothing but nothing has passed my lips that SW do not approve of:D

I dropped the snack a jacks and the crackers and the hummus and the coleslaw, went completely over to SW.

Had loads of fruit, loved the melon, who would think a family could fight so much over a melon?:rotfl::rotfl:

    Yesterday it was
B- cereal and frozen berries skimmed milk
L SW minestrone soup love it this time had one bowful;) and sugar free jelly yog and fruit
D SW chips with chicken in mediterranean sauce (toms, courgettes, aubergines, peas, beans, peppers) loved it
Snacks lean gammon bought one and cooked it sliced it finely and chomped on that and fruit

    Today
    B-cereal and fruit skimmed milk
L- scrambled eggs made with skimmed milk and beans 1 slice of 50/50 bread, kids were laughing at me because I went to get my syns book to see how many syns were in a tsp of hp sauce (2) taking this very seriously:D
D- chicken fajitas SW recipe with SW chips
Desert is fruit salad with fromage frais, they are having custard

Very healthy very lovely can't wait:D

I have used more tomato based sauces than I have ever done in my entire life this week:rotfl: the fajitas not that the kids need to know as I mashed them in so they can't be seen there is toms, peppers, aubergines, carrots, courgettes, onions, mushrooms, that is plenty enough veg for them and me:rotfl:

To add to it on wednesday and friday I walked 5 miles there and back to the shops and today we went out for 3 miles there and back, the rest of the week have been on my feet houseworking, working in the chemist, getting stuff done, not gym stuff but on the move and using that to counter act the carbs.

This week not to have a massive bowl of veg and one side of whatever has been great, enjoyed it, love the SW chips the red thai curry with noodles, the cod in tom sauce, all of it has been lovely so let's see tomorrow.

Bonus is the kids also have loved it and OH loved the currys he obviously had naan bread with it but not me, they had fish and chips last night with buttered bread but I was happy with the SW MEAL I cooked, there is always minestrone soup on the side if I need it, the kids are not taken to that but all else they are:D

lolly :-) its all about ups and downs - if you weigh yourself daily then you have to be prepared to experience more fluctuations than weighing weekly. keep at it, it will get easier with time

good luck with tomorrows weigh in victory.

Glad youre feeling better. Am intrigued to find out what it was that you edited out! Maybe SW will spill the beans? lol

Hi SW - you do say some nice things - and as a stalker you do a really good job - and ive posted you that thingumebob - and would it compromise your integrity to do some bean spilling? ;-)

I dont know how Colin Firth came into the conversation but he's one of a very small number of blokes that im jealous of.... in love actually he got a snog with Lucia (phwoore) Moniz - what a lucky lucky lucky man !

well it's a good job that ive got thick skin!
(but exercise and a good diet should be sorting the thick skin out soon enough)
I wondered what powerplate is so looked it up on good old vikipedia...

    "Power-Plate
is a brand of vibrating platform used as exercise equipment. It consists of a vibrating base, which may vibrate up and down approximately 1 to 2 mm (1/16") 25 to 50 times per second. It is large enough to accommodate a person in deep squat."

The bank statement's coming this week and that's when i'll know if I'm in deep squat. Can't see how being shaken a million times will help though?
