Vixarooni - back from my colonic and would describe it as "definitely interesting"!
Not the worst thing I've ever been through (I even have another appointment) - the therapist was a lovely lady, very gentle, very discreet, and I didn't feel too uncomfortable with the (w)hole experience!:rotfl: I wouldn't fancy her job though!
Time will tell whether it has helped with my little "problem"! I've been eating so healthily too - dynorod soup didn't do it - all I got was sound and no action! :o

Teecee, you definitely deserve to see a loss on those scales this week after going through that!

A friend of mine did a 'Tony Robbins' retreat week on an island he owns near Bali (I think), and part of that week was a detox diet of seeds, oils, etc., and regular colonics. For the thousands she paid for it, it sounded like a week from hell, not one in paradise to me, but she found it very enlightening. She felt much better after the colonics, although I don't think she's ever been to have another one since.

You must have been in a bad way if dynorod soup hadn't shifted matters! Poor you.

A day here of chores, then gym for me. I've injured my shoulder, but no idea how. It was a bit sore earlier today, and I thought I'd slept 'funny' on my arm, then I went to do the lat pulldown machine, and my right shoulder muscle seemed to decide otherwise. Lots of pain, which subsided after a while, but has played up again this evening without warning. It could be a trapped nerve, or just a ligament/torn muscle. I did a leg workout followed by abs.

I'm pleased that my weights are building up still, and for those interested, here's a breakdown of my workout today:
    3 x 10 bench step-ups
    3 x 10 squats with weights (10kg, 15kg, 20kg)
    3 x leg extensions (25kg, 30kg & 35kg)
    3 x leg curls (50kg, 55kg, 57.5kg)
    10 min steep incline treadmill
    Ab workout
    3 x 1min planks

I then crawled to the changing rooms and had a nice shower!

    Have a great weekend everyone.

Sary, you have no idea! I was reading all these posts about the Dynorod, I even made a curry sauce with tinned tomatoes, mushy peas, baked beans, butter beans, cannellini beans and spices (should have been rocket fuel!!) and NOTHING!! It has been so frustrating! I'm hoping that this will eventually help - I was actually jealous of those who could reap the delights of dynorod!!

Hi all, sorry i havent been on here much these last few days, work is starting to get on top of me so am making an effort to catch up.

After my routine meeting with the dietician earlier this week, I got a letter today from the hospital's eating disorders clinic asking me to make an appointment! Blimey "eating disorder" I dont really know how i feel about that - it certainly formalises things(with a thud!).

Dietwise, things have been slipping recently, I put the blame on being tired - not just because i dont go to bed 'til late but cos after a couple of hours i wake up and cant get back to sleep. I think thats happening because im worrying about all the things that I should have done but havent (phoned people back that have left messages, ordered stock, sent out the 2011 calendars blah blah blah... ) Anyway I'm trying to catch up, and when i do then hopefully I'll start to get some good sleep again then will be in a better frame of mind for dog walking or climbing everest or whatever :-)

Have a well behaved weekend. Take care y'all

we have found that fibre just bungs us up, eating fats and oils in the diet cured our constipation

i seam to remember reading that a colonic flushes out a lot of the bacteria that is used in processing food in the gut so its not recommended to have it too often

might be worth eating prebiotic foods (they work better than the pretty much debunked probiotic foods / yoghurt (note activia range have been forced to remove there health claims as they where lies :) ) and some live yoghurt (like greek)

Sorry to admit I ate more than I should have done yesterday and wrecked my losses. It doesn't seem to take much and I'm not sure if I can get back to where I was

I know the reason though, someone upset me and I came home and comforted myself with food I didn't need

I have to get out of this pattern and find another outlet for these feelings - I know it's a crazy thing to do
