Lose Weight 31

72.9 kg this morning. That means I've gained 0.3 kg since last week.
However, I am not too worried. I think I should really put this down as STS because that has been the pattern with me for months, bouncing around down a bit, up a bit, but overall, downwards.
It is slow. In much less time than I've been doing this, my stepdaughter has lost 5.5 stone.
Can it really be down to the 'age thing'? I am going to be 76 this year.

Im back again after letting myself go for most of December. Still I've found it easy to get back into not eating as much and exercising which is a good thing.
Reporting in with a 2lb loss this week so I'm more than happy with that.
Im currently in the process of potentially relocating so I'm hoping the stress of it all will help me shed some extra pounds!0 -
Ok - no more burying my head. Aamitting my numbers is therapy in itself. I have gained 8.6 lbs in the last 4 weeks (after some damage limitation!) I am now back into it and back to my routine which I crave in order to have some structure in my life (and in my diet).
I am hoping to knock that off in the next 3 weeks as hopefully a (long) holiday gain might prove easier to shift. Anyhow, I have had my fun (and mucho indulgence) and then it's head down until 5th May when I am doing a presentation to clients and I want to be sleek and slim. Then it is my brother's wedding in December. So these are my targets for the year.
I want to Zumba twice a week and gym in between if poss plus I got the wii fit plus game which made me get back on the wii board which was nice. Plenty to do. Lot's to achieve. Onwards.
Well done to all the loser who have started back quicker than me.0 -
Well done Funnelly.

which is down from last weeks start point of 14st 8lbs / 92.5kg.
So this week I have lost 6lbs / 2.5kg.

Yes sary that particular forum member was ruffling my feathers a bit yesterday - kept telling me I hadn't given group enough of a chance and that I was effectively throwing in the towel at the first hurdle even tho I had already said I was only ever going once to get the books anyway and I really didnt enjoy being there. bit of a nobhed that chap but hey ho.Brighton_belle wrote: »Sary - that mega post re sw was fab and fantastic support for other members:T:T. Thanks for being such a great member of this forum.
SECONDED!:D
Betty - that particular poster is really irritating: can't get that that thread is about support of sw method, not 'pull it all apart coz you don't understand it'. Debate isn't what 99.9% of the thread is interested in: you just wantto get on and do it! And do it right and stop wibbling on that such and such doesn't make sense, so they choose to do it differntly. Well that's not 'the plan' then is it!
exactly, we're not there to debate we're there to chat and get on with it!
lolly101 there are MUCH worse things to binge on than chicken!! dont beat yourself up.
efrieze if you keep up that exercise you'll shift those extra lbs back off in no time hun
margaretclare, it seems as if you are reaching a plateu - is there anythign you can do to give yourself a jump start? change the food you're eating (ie if your eating carbs, maybe focus on protein for a bit?) chaneg the amount of cals you allow yourself (upping it for a day usually helps get your system going again) Or do some light exercise??
Well done funnelly and eric on your losses and Victory for a sts (with a tiny loss in the loo!)! :T
blondy - I like Davina's workout DVD but haven't tried many others. some people here use the wii fit maybe that would be good for you?Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Went to MrT's late last night and got some fantastic bargains - sweet red peppers reduced to 30p, carrots for 19p, twin pack of salad for 30p, rocket for 34p - mahoosive savings to be made if you go at night!!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Hi all
Very pleased to announce a 4lb loss this week!
Apart from this I'm feeling a bit grotty as have woken up with an itchy urticaria rash - have had it three times recently (although never having it before) I have no idea what has triggered it
Good luck to those yet to post the results of their weigh ins, and thanks to everyone for your support - it's been really helpful. Not Rachmaninov

Thanks for this. Well, I do tend to 'plateau' and often bounce around on the same plateau for weeks on end.
Exercise - well, I go to aqua-aerobics once a week and a swimming lesson. Next week it will be 2 swimming lessons, one-to-one and they are quite intensive. I want the footpaths in the woods to dry out a bit so that I can try out my new TrekMates walking poles.
I do try to keep the carbs down and never eat white bread or anything containing white sugar. In theory I'm doing everything that I should be doing, but it's still slow.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

Hmm, well maybe if you eat a bit more one day, a bit less another day, mix it up a bit, it will help?
Do you eat a lot of fruit? some peple find that it stops them losing as much as they'd like when they have too much fruit...
Frogletina well done :Tfab loss!!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
