Went round the nice supervisors house, turns out the nasty supervisor has messed up again and saying she told me there was over time available and she did not tell me anything, she is standing her ground and huffing and puffing that she has seen me (strange I have been off sick with tonsilitis) that she has spoken to me, that I do know rubbish utter rubbish, nice supervisor went to boss (love that woman) and reiterated to him that she cannot see how I had been told when I was off etc
Boss then went on about how much holiday nasty supervisor has, every month her name is already down for the years hols, she has 6 weeks off in 10 days time for an op then 1 week back at work then 3 weeks in thailand, dozy boss has only just noticed, we all knew and made lots of sarcy comments about it but boss is now livid for that and livid for the communication about the over time, in all this I am innocent but will none the less be talked at when I go back on thursday:D0 -
Victory - your job sounds awful, been there and got the tshirt - will never take another job in a shop again.
Up in Belfast for a meeting this morning, took a halfer (so much leave to use up between now and end of jan) and met an old uni mate for lunch. If you ever are in belfast the Mourne Seafood Bar is fantastic - the queen scallop risotto is beautiful

Victory, there is another way to deal with this you know, and it would make life very difficult for the manager in the meantime, which might be a nice way of getting your revenge prior to walking out the door. I would suggest you go to your doctor again, don't go into work, call in sick, and then get signed off work for stress, and blame the stress emphatically on the pressure from work in particular. Say that you are living on your nerves, keep crying all the time, and it's all started with this job. That way, you get paid sick leave, they have to then cover your shifts between themselves, and they can't do anything about it, not while you have a doctor's certificate to prove you are unfit to work. Then bide your time, and when you decide, then you can just say you don't want to go back, but in all honesty, you can string out depression and stress related illness for quite a long time, before you decide you just can't face going back again, and leave them in the lurch. In the meantime, they can't replace you, because your job is still there, and they won't be able to afford to pay for agency or additional staff, on top of your salary. While you're 'off sick' you can do some job hunting, or just enjoy being paid for sitting by the phone at home.
If I were you though, I'd never set foot back in that pharmacy ever again. You're worth more than that, and I understand totally that bullying can make you feel weak and powerless, but see this as an opportunity to take back control, and power, and you're protected by Employment Law, so there's very little they can do about it... unless you're seen cartwheeling and dancing merrily outside the store by them, and they then call into question your claim to be sick, but having already been to the Dr. about your recent issues, I'd say your backside was well and truly covered.
Betty, I've not been on the SW thread today, but I take it that ****ball person who's so attached to chickpeas has been kicking off again, huh? What a prize kn0-bhead he is, eh?

I am aching like you would not believe today. The squats on the smiths machine, combined with a mental abs workout yesterday have made my legs/bum ache, and I did some heavier weights working my arms/chest, and my shoulders are also aching. I feel like I've been run over, but in a good way! lol I also did 1 hour on the Wii doing the Fitness Dance today. OMG I was sooo out of breath bouncing around, arms flying everywhere, because the pace is so fast... and I clearly have zero co-ordination, but it was fun all the same. Rather liked the canoeing bit, and the skipping. Not a bad game for a tenner.
Back in the gym tomorrow, and rather looking forward to it now. So glad I got over the dreading going bit.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
