Victory - just ring them up and tell them you cant come in today, just tell them its your day off and youve got things planned.
Dont be scared and dont panic. The very worst that can happen is that you get what you would have achieved if you had resigned anyway.
Mainly though, you dont know for sure that they are going to sack you, so dont expect the worst, it could be something completely different.
JUST RING THEM and find out what they want! It will put your mind at ease and calm you down.0 -
Thanks puds and everyone thank you very much but I can't, so the supervisor the nice one ends at 6pm lives two streets away off work turf will ask her what is happening, we are friendly on and off and cannot go into work because I am not prepared for the avalanche, just from the way I have always been treated and the history, I know that the boss would have rehearsed what he is going to say and will be waiting for me, I know that I have done nothing wrong because I don't have to jump on my day off and ask how high please?
They expect me to but I am not so to cover all angles I am doing the cowards way with a drink round the nice supervisors when she has finished work, sorry to disappoint but I have no inbuilt strong defensive stand up for yourself mechanism and I am shattered by all the work trauma;)
Logged onto SW now thanks betty and sary:D

Victory~Hate to be so blunt but this cannot go on.
For many reasons but mostly for the state of your mental health.
Resign now before this has an even bigger impact on YOUR mental health.
Enough now.Today.End of.
Agree!!!They always do the ringing on the day off, if I don't answer they go mental the boss told me off for 45 minutes the other time for not picking up the phone on the wednesday it was and I was in on the thursday but they wanted to talk to me about over time the week after that so for less than 24 hours they went beside themselves:eek:
I had the boss and the supervisor specially called in at either ends of the hallway talking at me for 45 mins that I make myself unpopular, that I keep myself out of the loop, that I asked for over time and if I cannot pick up a phone it does not bode well, that they do not expect me to pay for the phone call if that is the problem I have:rotfl::rotfl:they should be able to speak to me and ask me about over time etc it went on for so long I lost the will to live:rotfl::rotfl: not picking up the phone andn ot being in all day is a criminal offence in their eyes:rotfl:
If I were you i'd tell them straight out that you are busy on your days off and so if they need to talk about overtime or anything like that then they can do so when you are there!
It is extremely unprofessional of them to expect you to be around to discuss work matters on a non-work day.
they should have the foresight to think of these things when you are there.betty or sary what is or where is my personal password for the SW log in, I have a lifelineonline plus number but I put in my email which it rejects then it asks for personal password?
You have to register first - i had this trouble today too.
When you go on the lifeline online page you have to click the red 'register' button, then put in your name, details, blue membership card number and personal pin when asked. You can then set your own password for logging in next time.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Thanks betty you have been a joy thank you very much:D
I have succesfully logged in thanks:D
beanilou has always been right and has always had my best interests at heart;)
I have told them I go often to the docs, that I am busy on days off, that I go shopping, that I cannot be expected to be in at all times, that they can ring the mobile but they refuse saying people do not have such great attachments to their mobiles that they have them on their person at all times, that they will not ring the mobile only the landline.
The bosses argument is that I do not see the supervisor other than 2 times a month, every other saturday and if she forgets to tell me things as she has done, then the message has to be passed on to me at other times via other people, she will not leave me a note, she panics on times and dates realising herself that she should have allowed herself more time to tell me etc and so tells the boss that she has rung but yet again got the answering machine and my lines of communication are hopeless not hers, war it is war0 -
I hate to be honest Victory, but as you said in your own words, you are a grown woman. Either ring them and find out what they want, and tomorrow hand in your notice.
That is all you need to do. End of kaput.0 -

again, if i were you I'd be tempted to say 'you can call if you like, but I wont be in. deal with it.'
If the supervisor needs you for something she can leave a note or a message with a colleague or the boss. Or she can come in on HER day off!! :rotfl:Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Hand your notice in Victory and spend time looking for a new job rather than spend time getting upset. These people seem to be going out of their way to upset you - it's like bullies in the playground and the best thing you can do is walk away. Love and hugs Granny xx0
