Down and out here with tonsilitis and ear infections have penecillin and ear drops, off work, feel lousy but hey at least don't have to see the boss:rotfl::rotfl:

betty a million thanks but can't open the files, sent you an email;)

puds, sary:j:j:jbought the SW mag but does not tell you exactly syns etc but a good read non the less, getting the vibe of it but have not switched yet as my loss this week was 3lb but was too late to post well I suppose it was not 3lb in true weight loss because it was 3lb off the 5lb that the xmas gain gave me and that was just lost through back to eating normally, it was never going to stay with me:D

Bought the bella OH saw the voucher and he insists I go this monday without son, he wants me to get the books and come back and do it, he says that is the cheapest was for £4.95 to get the books and start next week with SW, we shall see how the tonsils are by then, I am such a scardy cat, keep making up reasons why I can't go but it is down to fear of the unknown:D

I have mananged for 3 years perfectly well with my WW version of things and never attended a group.

*Sending Hugs to Victory* Hope you feel better soon.

Ive been quite good today (I know its only 1125, but I will be good this afternoon as well - honest!) I got up, had my porridge and 2 slices of toast. I don't usually have toast for brekkie but I knew I would be taking dog out for a good long run and felt I needed the extra cals. (If I don't et I get all shaky and dizzy) and didn't want to feel like that on my trek:D

My God!! Its freezing out there today. Its been raining overnight then frozen so the roads and pavements are like an ice rink. Nearly fell over twice. Not so good when I've only got one good leg.:rotfl:

Anyway we had a nice long walk and now that I'm back in the house, Im going to have an hour or so on my Wii. I'll post later to let you all know how I got on. I have to be quiet, cos hubby is asleep (he was working last night).

    See you all later. x

Aw Victory don't be scared. The groups are really welcoming, and the hints and tips that other members give you are priceless. I'm still concerned that this is your OH telling you what to do, and not your choice? I also think you are the kind of person who has so many great ideas, and benefits from group support that the meetings would benefit you, at least for the first couple of months. I know money is tight, but hey, I attend the meetings and OH is unemployed, so I'm finding the £ myself to go, not taking it from OH. I do suggest you have a peek over on the SW thread on MSE (in the Health & Beauty section), just to have a look at what other's are eating, how they count their syns/HE A/B's.

I've got a new Wii dance/fitness game to try out today, so am about to do that, and will let you know if it's any good. OH said our gym was absolutely packed yesterday, so although i want to go, will have to try to find times of the day when the newbies (who will stop come mid-Feb anyway) aren't in there.

    Food plan today :
    I'm doing a Green/Veggie day

B - porridge (HEB* 1), milk (from HEA 1 allowance), banana
    L - pasta & sauce, 2 x satsumas, ff activia
D - Jacket potato, 42g low fat cheese (HEA 2), mixed salad, baked beans, salad cream (2 syns)
Snacks - Shape Zero yogurt, satsumas/banana, Kellogs Fibre+ bar (HEB 2)
I've still got up to 13 syns to have for the rest of the day, so might have a supper of toast or some other treat like a kitkat.

    * On a green/original day you have 2 each of the Healthy Extra A's/B's to ensure you get enough fibre/calcium/fat

Right, off to have a go at that Wii game.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Alpen is delicious. I used to eat it all the time. Jordans, the low sugar alpen and shop own brand varieties just dont taste the same... so although they are all described as mueslis, to me, they are as different as having a bowl of pudding compared to a bowl of acorns.

And I'm 20 years older! In my head I'm still about 14 though, which seems to infuriate my children no end. In truth though, I'd rather be in my 40's than my 20's again. Life was far more complicated back then, I didn't really know what I wanted, when I wanted it, and how I was going to get it. Now I know what I want, I want it now, and I'm going to make bl00dy sure I get it! lol

  • Vix and Betty; you are at serious risk here - you must absolutely promise me than when you turn 25, you will never never ever blink again, becasue I promise you, blink once and suddenly you're 47 and thinking "but I'm only 25 inside" and "where did my life go?":D

Victory - poor you, last thing you need is tonsilitis.:grouphug: well done on the 3lbs though.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
