  • I'm pretty anxious too about the whole court case as i have never experienced it before and to be honest its quite daunting, not knowing what can be asked, when a decision is made, what stipulations are made, how holidays work between parents etc

can anyone advise me about the above in anyway?
  • All i can add is to make sure its clear who picks up a child and drops off and where.

All holidays, christmas etc. perhaps one having child Christmas eve sleep and one christmas night sleep with a swap mid afternoon.

Clothing, school trips etc. Who is paying, and who is claiming any benefits.

But most importantly What is best for the child must be a priority.

    Good luck

No advice. Just wanted to wish you all the best.

Remember to keep calm, and be the reasonable one.

I really really hope that the judge sees sense (and sees through all the delaying tactics used by the other side), otherwise it makes a mockery of the system.

    Hiya
Just spent my morning and afternoon reading through this post! You have been an incredibly patient man and you have really showed the mother up, once your son if of an age to understand he'll realise just how much hard work you put in to stop the mother shutting you out of his life.
good luck in court and let us know how is goes. We're all rooting for you

Sadly, the lack of further posts from the OP may indicate things did not go well for him in court, I sincerely hope that is not the case.

Court case isn't until next week...

hi all quick update, i know it's been a while and i apologise however believe it or not i am still waiting, in november the case was adjurned as my ex now has a new solicitor and 'new evidence' is being given to the court, so we were put back to late Feb, on that date there was an 'older' case than mine and so we were put back to April 24th, on that day all sheriffs decided to take leave so i am now waiting until Late June!

A shambles of a court system to boot, and i did start to lose faith as the time it has been and my son is now in another status quo for nearly 14 month now! what sheriff would uproot a child now! gutted to say the least.
